Page 2 From Your Worship Coordinator From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the L is to be praised. Psalm 113:3 This is the verse that has been on my mind lately as the days grow longer and here in West Michigan we revel in the beau ful sunsets God provides for us over the lake! Not only are we to praise the name of the Lord all day from sunrise to sunset, but we are to praise His name everywhere we go from the place where the sun rises to the place where it sets. And how can we not praise Him all day, in all places? In Psalm 103 it says, For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. His love for us reaches to the heavens, His grace goes beyond our comprehension! How can we keep from praising Him? As many of our ministries take a break for the season, we must never take a break from offering our praise and our worship to our great Lord! Summer offers new and different ways to serve God, and I want to encourage each of you to pursue many of those opportuni es that may come your way! Be on the lookout, because God wants to use you whether that means singing with the praise team for the first me, offering special music, helping out with dinner on Wednesday nights, teaching or helping out with VBS, being inten onal about ge ng to really know someone new or even star ng a new ministry! Don t take a break from God this summer let Him use you to draw others to Him! Becky Bierma

Page 3 Rock Urban Youth Ministry is an outreach of the Holland Rescue Mission that aspires to share Christ and disciple underprivileged children in the Holland community, specifically children whose families live at the Mission or have at one time lived in the Mission. By showing the children the love of Christ, we hope to point them to ways which may stop the cycle of poverty and introduce them to Jesus who truly satisfies. Through a combination of creative evangelism, Bible study, mentoring, recreation, academic support and a lot of wholesome fun, we desire to help youth successfully live out biblical principles and reach their God-given potential. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Camp Rock meets at Trinity Church throughout the summer. The Rock Staff is incredible and gives 110% to the kids every day. We would like to provide them (15 people) with lunch Mon. - Thurs. every week through mid-august. Lunches can be as simple or extravagant as you wish. You are invited to serve the lunch on the day you bring it (food should arrive at church by 11am), or you may drop the food off and the Trinity staff will take care of serving. A sign up sheet is available at the information counter near the office - individuals, groups of friends, Bible Study groups, Turning Pages, choir, youth groups, etc. are encouraged to sign up. Questions? Give the church office a call (396-6526). PRAY!!! Pray that God will move this summer in the lives of students and staff. Pray that the gospel would go forth in each of our lives. Pray for the health and unity of the staff. Pray for safety and protection. Volunteers are always welcome, either for a morning, an afternoon or all day. Mornings consist of worship, small groups, Bible study, etc. The campers typically go on fun outings in the afternoon. You are welcome to join them!

Page 7 The Youth Ministry of Trinity Church finished with the Go Fish Open (mini golf) for the Jr. High and Messy Night for the Sr. High. I am excited about the summer months, as we are planning a trip to Fi h Third Ball Park on Saturday, June 23 and to Michigan's Adventure on Tuesday, July 24! Also this summer Area 51, our Sr. High Youth Group will be heading to Benton Harbor the week of July 11-15 for a work project. This project will focus on Community Revitaliza on and Neighbor Rela onships. We will be having one more fund-raiser to help pay for our trip, so be looking for one of our students with a sub sale form to talk to you. Order forms will also be available in your church mailboxes. This last year of Youth Ministry at Trinity Church was amazing. In Go Fish (Jr. High) we talked about the idea of being "tuned in". Each week that we had a lesson, we watched a short video clip that assisted us in studying different topics that ranged from rela onships to self-image to bullying. We also had lots of fun and served at local agencies too. A highlight of our year was our winter retreat to Camp Geneva! In Area 51 (Sr. High) we talked about many different things. We started with a Francis Chan Study called "Courage to Stand", which was a study of Daniel. We moved to a study that was associated with "To Save a Life", a movie dealing with topics that range from teen suicide to teen pregnancy to divorce, and many more topics that all have a relevance to our youth today. The highlight of the year was our trip to Genesis in Traverse City!! Over all this second year at Trinity has been AMAZING!! Thanks so much for making it great. I want to say a special thanks to the leaders that I served with. The leaders in Area 51 were Rob & Teresa Harrington and Ma & Heather Oom. The leaders in Go Fish were Rob Dannenberg, Randy Busscher, Tabitha Wolters, Jessica Myaard (1st half) and Lauren Bedard (2nd half). Thank you also to all the parents that helped by bringing meals and other snacks. I am already excited to see were we go in the 2012-2013 youth ministry year!! ggg (giving God glory) Jon Wolters

Page 9 All I Really Need to Know About Life, I Learned from Noah s Ark Do not miss the boat. Do not forget we are all in the same boat. Plan ahead it was not raining when Noah built the Ark. Stay fit When you are 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something really big. Do not listen to cri cs; just get on with what needs to be done. For safety s sake, travel in pairs. Two heads are be er than one. Build your future on higher ground. Speed is not always an advantage; a er all, snails were on the same ark with the cheetahs. When you are stressed, float awhile. Remember the ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic was built by professionals. Remember that the woodpeckers on the inside are a larger threat than the storm outside. No ma er what the storm, when God is with you there is a rainbow wai ng. From Michigan s Disabled Veterans Paper July-August 2007 (Submi ed by Gayle Sco )
