Route 46 East, Netcong, NJ 973-347-0667 Volume 10, Issue 8 Do you live in the greater Rockaway area? If so, did you know that Grace Church has expanded its worship services and ministry opportunities to Rockaway? Come worship at Grace Church, Rockaway. We meet: Every Sunday, 10:00 A.M. Dennis B. O'Brien Elementary School GPS: 418 Mineral Springs Drive, Dover, NJ Do you live in the Netcong Area but see your self as a missionary? You are always welcome to minister in Rockaway as well! Opportunities include: nursery volunteers, Sunday school teachers, technicians, encouragement table staffers, and roadies. Expand your ministry area! We are truly ONE CHURCH in TWO LOCATIONS! Contact Cameron@grace4families.com for more information. FRIDAY, AUGUST 17 (dusk) Netcong Campus Bring the family for a fun, free night under the stars. Candy, popcorn, drinks and hot dogs will be available for purchase. Movie will start when it s dark enough. Come early to get a spot. Watch from your car or bring lawn chairs and blankets. We sit in the first and second parking areas at the Netcong campus. We ll be showing: Seven Nights in Utopia starring Robert Duvall and Lucas Black. Epiphany award winning movie for most inspiring movie about influence and inspiration and a deeper, more profound way of looking at life. After a disastrous debut on the pro circuit, a young golfer finds himself unexpectedly stranded in Utopia, Texas, where he is welcomed by an eccentric rancher with a passion for teaching truth and a young golf professional at the end of his rope looking to escape the pressures of the game. They represent each one of us in our various stages of growth. And through them we are reminded that, in life, we must be willing to coach and be coached. Life is never the same once you've been to Utopia. Visit www.pluggedin.com to see whether this movie is appropriate for your family. Rating: G Grace is a church with a very unique vision to raise up generations of families that are built to last. This is accomplished as we worship together, learning, loving, and living biblical truth. There's nothing to compare with the kicking praise music, life changing teaching from the word of God, and exciting events for all ages. We start our week-long Vacation Bible School program this week (July 30August 3. Please pray for us to be a great example of Christ to those who will be visiting. If you didn t get a chance to help out with a donation, we are always in need of baked goods for our Volunteer break room. Donations may be dropped off any morning VBS week. (We anticipate 125 volunteers) Please join us Thursday evening for a fun, entertaining program of music and drama about what the kids have learned during the week. Family Night begins at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 2. SUNDAY SERVICES: NETCONG CAMPUS: 8:15, 9:45 & 11:15 A.M. ROCKAWAY CAMPUS: 10:00 A.M.

Imagine the following: A hurricane ravages our area. There is a Grace family trapped in their home because a tree has fallen across their driveway. A huge snowstorm traps a widow because she simply can t shovel her way out and she needs to get food and medicine. A community is flooded by torrential rain and hundreds need help cleaning up their homes. If you can see yourself willing to help in a situation like this, but don t know how, we are going to make it easy for you. Maybe you can t sing on the worship team, teach a Sunday School class or be an usher on a regular basis but you would like to be more involved at church and help people at the same time. We want to give you the opportunity to put on those red tee shirts and lend a hand in an emergency situation. Do you have any of the following: 4 Wheel drive vehicle Snow blower or plow, or shovels with kids ready to use them? Chainsaws or tools to remove debris Generator that you would be willing to lend to someone without power The physical ability to help someone in the time of a crisis or emergency We would mobilize this team only in the event of an emergency. We will use Grace Netcong as a Command Post and have people who need assistance phone the church and then the team is sent to that location. In a snowstorm, we would send teams out to help people dig out, or in the case of a flood or hurricane, we might join other volunteers as a whole team to go help a community in need. If you are interested in being a part of this effort contact Tim Leonard at 973-347-0667 ext. 17 or Chris Cartwright at 973-650-6099. Help following the death of a loved one Begins anew on September 13 You don't have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare groups help you move toward rebuilding your life after the loss of a loved one. GriefShare meets weekly on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the Netcong Campus in the downstairs library. Questions? Contact Frank or Kathy Rizzo at 973-398-1510. 1 STUDY 2 LOCATIONS! Our men's Bible study is looking at the life of Jesus through the Gospel of Mark.
