None of us can understand what you have done from beginning to end. Help us to believe in you and to increasingly recognize you at work around us, making things beautiful through the resurrection. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Music for Gathering Jerusalem by Sir Hubert Parry Mark Anderson First Baptist Life and Ministry Morning Chimes Mark Anderson *The Introit It s Easter! It s Easter! WE APPROACH GOD *Reflective Moment Agnus Dei Michael W. Smith Alleluia! Alleluia! For the Lord God Almighty reigns (repeat). Alleluia! Holy! Holy are you Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb. Worthy is the Lamb. You are Holy. Holy, are you Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb. Worthy is the Lamb. Amen. Confession of Sin Assurance of Pardon John Nelson *Hymn of Praise Christ Is Risen by Kristyn and Keith Getty Children are invited to come to the front during this song. All are welcome to attend the children s worship programs downstairs following the children s blessing. How can it be, the One who died, has borne our sin through sacrifice, To conquer every sting of death? Sing, sing hallelujah. For joy awakes as dawning light when Christ s disciples lift their eyes. Alive he stands, their friend and King; Christ, Christ he is risen. (Chorus) Christ is risen, he is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah. Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed; Christ is risen, he is risen indeed. Where doubt and darkness once had been, They saw him and their hearts believed. But blessed are those who have not seen, yet, sing hallelujah. Once bound by fear now bold in faith, They preached the truth and power of grace. And pouring out their lives they gained, life, life everlasting. (Chorus) The power that raised him from the grave Now works in us to powerfully save. He frees our hearts to live his grace; go tell of his goodness. (Chorus) Page!2

You have comforted us, encouraged us, and strengthened us. We have been changed for the better through your ministry. Mark: People of First Baptist, you called me to serve in this place. Now God has seen fit to lead me elsewhere. I am thankful for the time God has given us together. I am grateful for the ways my leadership has been accepted. I ask forgiveness for the mistakes I have made. I thank you for the love and support you have shown me while I have ministered among you. As I leave, I carry with me all that I have learned here. The Holy Spirit brought us together, and I shall not soon forget you. All: We receive your thankfulness. We offer forgiveness. We release you to focus your attention on the people of First Baptist St Marys. We ask your forgiveness for our mistakes. We are grateful for your time among us. Your influence on our faith and faithfulness will not end with your departure. Mark: I accept your gratitude and forgiveness and I forgive you. I release you from turning to me and depending on me. I trust all the good we accomplished together for God s glory will endure. I encourage your continuing ministry here and will pray for you and for your ministers. All: The Lord be with you. Mark: And also with You. Prayer for Mark McKim Page!4

Sudan famine relief fundraiser: Missions has designated $2000 to support CBM and their partner and the Sudanese refugees. We would like to at least double that amount in the coming weeks. Make cheques or envelopes out to Canadian Baptist Ministries, note Sudan famine. See our website: firstbaptist.ca for a video about this crisis Everyone welcome! CBM is urgently working to raise relief support for the victims of famine in South Sudan. The people are starving. Exhausted women are carrying their children to our partner churches, crying for help. Hundreds are arriving each day. Faith Evangelical Baptist Church pastors and their wives are embracing people as they walk into their camps, giving them water and praying for them. But they desperately need food. Please join us in praying for peace and an end to the fighting and suffering that has torn South Sudan apart. Staffing Update We are in the midst of a transition with our financial administrator. Krista Johnston has resigned her position at FBC to pursue other opportunities. She has also submitted a proposal for a contract position. The FBC board is researching options and considering her offer. Feel free to contact Joel, John, or a deacon if you have any questions. Page!6

Achievers' April 27th Luncheon, 11:55 a.m. Sign-up sheets can be found in the foyers Tim and Shelley Keizer, Katepwa Lake Camp s new Executive Director Team, will be our speakers at this month s luncheon. Tim and Shelley both grew up in the Fredericton area of New Brunswick and will soon be moving to Katepwa. They are former Camp Directors at MVBC, a Christian Camp and Conference Center in N.B. and have a passion for camp ministry and the way God changes lives through camp. Tim grew up attending Green Hill Lake Camp in New Brunswick, spent many years in business, attended Prairie Bible College and served Christ in Bolivia for a time. For many years he volunteered his time as a Youth Leader in his home church. Today he feels most at home at camp, hiking in the woods with Shelley and his dog, and following God's lead for the next adventure. Shelley gave her life to Christ as a teen, attending a Christian camp. She attended Indiana Wesleyan University where she studied Addictions Counseling and courses in Youth and Music Ministry. She also has a Diploma in Office Administration and Esthetics. She has worked as a Youth Leader, Early Childhood Educator, Activities Director in a Seniors Home, and Missions Director at Edith Lank Christian Memorial Camp in N.B. In her free time, Shelley likes baking up a storm in her kitchen, playing the piano and singing, and spending time by the water with her family. She considers being a mom to her two sons the most amazing part of her life. In a attempt to reduce moving costs, they brought very few personal items with them. Therefore the Keizers are in need of some home furnishings. If you have any items in good condition and in good working order, please contact Dana Turnbull (dturnbull4@gmail.com or (306) 530-3848). She will arrange a time to pick it up and get it to camp. Page!7
