Let s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about (Luke 2:15). We, like those shepherds long ago, gather to see and rejoice in what God has done. May the presence of Immanuel, God with is, fill you as you gather for worship this morning. Welcome to worship! This morning we welcome Mr. Dan Crapo back to our pulpit. Dan is currently serving as a hospice chaplain and is finalizing his ordination process in the Christian Reformed Church. Welcome, Dan! Next week is Epiphany Sunday and Pastor Michael will begin a new series on the book of Galatians called Living Wet. This series will focus on the theme of baptism and use several questions and answers from the Heidelberg Catechism. We will also install our new elders and deacons for their new terms of service. On this final Sunday of 2018, please take some time to reflect on God s work in your life in the past year. Where have you seen him at work in your life as you look back? As a church, we reflect together on all the ways the Lord has indeed been good to his people with a look back at the baptisms, weddings, professions of faith, and deaths that took place in our congregation this year. You will find that list on the backs of your bulletins the Lord is our Shepherd Beginning next Sunday, January 6 th and for the next three Sundays following, Pastor Michael will be offering a New Members/Profession of Faith Class at 2:00. These sessions last for about an hour or so. Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a member of Pease CRC and/or making public profession of faith is asked to contact the church office to sign up so that there is enough material available for everyone. The deacons gratefully acknowledge the following offering receipts: December 23, 2018, General Fund-$7,367; Milaca Area Pantry-$930.11 and on Christmas Day, Guatemala Action Project (GAP)-$3,516. Your offering next Sunday, January 6, 2019, will be received for Community Christian School.
