Sumer: SPRITE

Sumer: Ur The Sumerian city of Ur became a city-state or a city and the surrounding area controlled by its own government. It developed greater organization and a hierarchy. The city resembled what we know as independent countries. Sumerians used the first known writing called cuneiform or wedge shaped writing.

Sumer: Ur Government was run by a dynasty or ruling family during time of war. During peace it was mostly run by priests in the ziggurat or mountain of God. The Sumerians were polytheistic or believed in many gods.

But if the river prove that the accused is not guilty, and he escape unhurt, then he who had brought the accusation shall be put to death, while he who leaped into the river shall take possession of the house that had belonged to his accuser.
