LOVE GROW SERVE SHARE Goal: $37,500 The Houser Missions Offering provides funding for all of our mission teams: Jerusalem (our community), Judea (our state), Samaria (our country), and the Ends-of-the-Earth. It enables each team to reach out and touch lives in the name of Jesus through a variety of ministries. Our Houser Missions Offering goal for the current fiscal year (October 2018- September 2019) is $37,500. During the month of November we will highlight the Houser Missions Offering. We ask that you prayerfully consider giving an offering or making a pledge toward our church goal. Your gift will help our teams reach more people with the Good News of Jesus! Gifts can be given through your regular offering envelopes, online at stbc.org, or by texting STBC Houser followed by the amount of your gift to 73256. Pledge cards are available at the Information Center. Craig Christina Senior Pastor Dear Church Family... One of the things I love about Shiloh Terrace is our focus on missions. We are involved in several mission projects and organizations. As I write this article, we have a group on a construction trip at a Baptist camp outside of Glen Rose, Texas. Through this team, we will give labor and thousands of dollars to help renovate parts of the camp. We are also helping to plant three churches through funding and other support: Iglesia Cristiana Berea in Pleasant Grove, House of Agape in Oak Cliff, and Iglesia Bautista Internacional in East Dallas. We give thousands of dollars to White Rock Center of Hope and Sharing Life benevolence ministries. We also feed over two hundred people a month and clothe them through our own Community Center. These projects are the tip of the iceberg! From where do these mission dollars come? From you and me! We support our Shiloh Terrace mission efforts through the budget (6% of undesignated receipts) and through the Houser Mission Offering (HMO). We also give an additional 6% of undesignated receipts to the Cooperative Program (Baptist General Convention of Texas and Southern Baptist Convention) and another 1.5% to the Dallas Baptist Association. Out of every dollar you give to the budget at Shiloh Terrace, 13.5 cents goes to missions. Please, support the budget first, and then consider a gift to the Houser Offering. Thank you for your faithfulness to support the work of building God s Kingdom in Dallas and around the world! Your prayers, giving, and going are making a difference!
