GATEKEEPERS GLOBAL MINISTRIES GGM Reaching the nations, one heart at a time GGM STATS TO 31 DECEMBER 2010 NEW SALVATIONS DECEMBER = 189 NEW TOTAL = (30,152) CHURCH PLANTS = 69 NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS*** Dear GGM partners and family, Life is full of surprises, and in our faith journey things do not always work out as we had anticipated, prayed or planned for. Such moments require a faith response in us. We can choose to give in to self-pity or we can trust the goodness of God to move us beyond delay into divinely inspired destiny. Disappointment has the potential to cause confusion, loss of focus and even the wavering of our faith, yet such occasions also present themselves as a potential bridge of grace upon which we walk with delight with our Master. It is only by the grace of God that we avoid life s pitfalls and continue to move forward in the wonderful plans God has for us. Most of you will be aware that I was planning a trip to Kenya with our GGM team at the end of January. Unexpectedly, I developed a problem with my back that severely limited my movement and caused me extreme pain. Three days before I was due to fly to Nairobi I met with my doctor who advised me not to fly. With a heavy heart, and after prayers and consultation with my GGM Council of Advisors, we decided it was best for me to stay home, allow my back to heal and re-schedule my trip when I was fit and well. I am grateful to all who have prayed and fasted for me during this time: you are each such a blessing in my life. I am thankful to the Lord that my back is improving and the pain is almost gone and I look forward to returning to Kenya in the next couple of months. Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished. Luke 1:45 I was meditating on this verse as I prayed through the situation of my postponed trip to Kenya and it blessed me immensely as I pondered Elizabeth and Mary s situation and faith responses afresh.

Elizabeth and Mary were expectant (literally!) but there was also a spiritual aspect to their expectancy. As they waited for their respective sons to be born, both women waited with purpose, with patience and with perseverance. They were full of hope and belief in the goodness of God to bring to birth all that He had promised. They trusted in the faithfulness of God and the blessed condition of co- labouring with Heaven. Furthermore, they were an encouragement to each other in their respective times of need. Truly love has a face Christ in each one of us reaching out in His love to others. When we wait upon the Lord with purpose we do not consider such time to be wasted, but instead we manage this precious time with diligence and an attitude of thankfulness. When we wait upon God with patience, we understand that He has granted us grace under pressure and that He will bring all things to pass in His perfect time, perfecting our characters along the pathway called perseverance. And when we wait upon the Lord with perseverance we can trust that He has imparted a measure of tenacity to us by which we shall overcome any and all obstacles with humility and a dogged determination in the faithfulness of God. The GGM Kisii team pictured below were busy organising for my proposed visit to Kisii. Thank God with me for these dear ones who worked so hard for my coming, along with our other leaders who were organising meetings: Ap Patroba Mukenya and Pastor Ken Kamau in Nairobi; Pr Nicholas Ogago and Pr John Okoth in Eldoret and Pr Rose Obwana and Pr Fredrick Makhanu in Bungoma. Please also remember Ap Emma and Ms Mary who were going to be part of our GGM ministry team. Believe with us for a double portion anointing! Picture 048 I am grateful for the wonderful people that we are privileged to co-labour with throughout the nations. Together we can do more! To God be the glory. Yours in His service, Catherine Brown Founder/Director Gatekeepers Global Ministries Co-Founder, Scottish Apostolic Networking Enterprise NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS****** NEW PARTNERS ***

My prayer is that God may use you and me to show this real love of God to the dying world, that's why I strongly believe we are alive today mum. I have a beautiful dream in my life and ministry not only to give you a report but to see the precious people whom God is saving they stand and become useful to the Kingdom of God so that they can reach others also. On the 6th Mama and I went to investigate a situation in Morukonyanga village. While we were in the village seven people got saved, including the drunkard uncle. All the older students went to a conference at Teen Challenge Church from 13th to 19th. I have stopped all work outside of the students here and am spending all my time teaching, counseling students, and working with and training the Mamas and Papa here. I am sure that is what God wants me to do. God is moving and I expect much fruit soon. We have a Junior Choir that is singing in our church on Sunday and a Senior Choir that is coming up, and Jean is teaching four to play the keyboard. Worship is becoming more lively. We had a great Christmas which began with church and then a meal of turkey, beef, rice and potatoes. Jean McFate brought a Happy Birthday Jesus cake and taught us a birthday song. It was a great day. Some statistics about orphans in Uganda: 230,000 children were orphaned in 2005. The total number of orphans in 2005 was 2.3 million. It should be about 3.5 million now in 2010. Amazingly 38% of households are female headed and caring for orphans according to 1998 and 2005 statistics. It should be more now. The majority of orphans live in rural areas with a grandmother who is poor and does not know how to prevent AIDS and may encourage sex in young children. Please pray about this. OVERCOMERS - SPECIAL FORCES GROUP The house is finally finished and Mama Jane and Brenda moved in on the 13th. Sandra Nabifo came on the 20th. Sandra's father is a total alcoholic and useless. Sandra's mother deserted her in 2003 and moved far away and remarried. Then Sandra moved here and there, living an immoral life and eventually went to live with the sister to her maternal grandmother. She came with one dress and she looks extremely unhappy and preoccupied with internal emotional problems. She was very willing to get saved and understood that she was giving her life totally to Jesus. Please pray for her.
