FOR PRIVATE CIRCULATION ONLY SEPTEMBER 2017 Message from the Parish Priest Msgr. C Francis Parish Priest Vicar General - Archdiocese of Bangalore Mother Mary, give me your Heart: so beautiful, so pure, so immaculate; your heart so full of love and humility; that I may be able to receive Jesus in the Bread of Life and love Him as you love Him and serve Him in the distressing guise of the poor. - Blessed Mother Teresa. Our joy will know no bounds and the boundaries be no more 1 restricted; the sky in all its glory will be a ceiling of blue and white hues with mighty clouds, forming a nest of woven visuals that tune into the joy of the world celebrating the Feast of Mother Mary on 8th September! The Church, as one big family, will sing hymns of celebration Behold thy Mother - Jesus most loved mother became Mother of all the believers of her loving son Jesus, bringing down the most powerful intercessory proclivity to mankind, interceding for us and obtaining grace for us! Our hearts will be forever grateful and this gratitude will be engraved therein for our lifetime! Thank you Mother! I am sure we have all received through our Beloved Mother Mary, countless blessings in our lives, for her love is so immeasurable. Let our thanks to her be expressed in the tribute of spending time praying to her and praying the Rosary; taking part in Special Prayers and Holy Mass and by increasing our love for her while praying also for our sanctification and salvation. Saint Louis Marie de Montfort said: For God, having given her power over His onlybegotten and natural Son, also gave her power over His adopted children not only in what concerns their body which would be of little account but also in what concerns their soul. I thank you all for your untiring support in all the events associated with the celebration of the 175 th year of St. Patrick s Parish and for making each and every moment a memorable one for generations to cherish! Your mantle of sharing responsibilities are too numerous to mention. I thank each and every one of you. None of us got to where we are, alone. Whether the assistance we received was obvious or subtle, acknowledging someone's help is a big part of understanding the importance of saying thank you. Harvey Mackay Happy Mother Mary Feast to you all! EDITORIAL BOARD Monsignor C. Francis Ms. Rosaline Farias Mr. Larry Furtado

IN FOCUS: Msgr. C. Francis Being a part of this wonderful Parish for over 2 years now, I am really blessed to be here to celebrate the 175 th Anniversary. It was also an honour to invite the Apostolic Nuncio Gianbattista Diquattro for the Inaugural Mass. It s a great feeling to know that all these memorable milestones are happening during my time here and I feel truly blessed. To see the St. Patrick s community working together for the blood donation drive, car wash fundraising campaign, community week, coffee table book release and most importantly the formation of the St. Patrick s Outreach Program, is indeed a blessing. These historical milestones will truly be cherished! St. Patrick s is a vibrant and active Parish and we need to keep our faith alive and going. Gradually, one can notice that the entire community is working together towards a common purpose and reaching out to others through various associations and initiatives. The St. Patrick s Outreach Program (SPOP) has the potential to engage all of us, as we reach out to distant communities and create a lasting impact. More about Msgr. C. We were always in the midst of good priests who were role models to me. Legacy I want to be known for building communities, where there is good understanding and family spirit prevailing. Then, I know, I have fulfilled God s plan for me here on earth. 3 Important Days to Remember Sep 05: Memorial St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata / Teacher s Day Sep 08: Feast The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sep 12: Memorial The Most Holy Name of Mary Sep 13: Memorial - St. John Chrysostom Sep 14: Feast The Exaltation of the Holy Cross Sep 15: Memorial Our Lady of Sorrows Sep 17: 13 th Anniversary of Archbishop of Bangalore Sep 19: 64 th Anniversary of the Erection of the Archdiocese of Bangalore Sep 21: Feast St. Matthew Sep 27: Memorial St. Vincent de Paul Sep 29: Feast The Holy Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael Sep 30: Memorial St. Jerome Obituaries (16 th Jun to 15 th AUG 2017) 20.6.2017 Elizabeth Mathew St. Thomas Zone 24.6.2017 Louisa Helen St. Anthony s Zone 10.7.2017 Rose Mary St. Anthony s Zone 21.7.2017 Sebastian Fernandes Marian Zone 27.7.2017 Arthur Richard D silva St. Peter s Zone Holy Father s Prayer Intentions September UNIVERSAL: Parishes That our parishes, animated by a missionary spirit, may be places where faith is communicated and charity is seen.
