A Prayer For Renew My Church Lord Jesus, you spoke to us today, as you spoke to holy men and women who have gone before us. In our age, and in our own time, you call to us and say: Renew my Church. Pour out the gift of your Holy Spirit upon us, and so enable us To hear you clearly To listen to each other attentively To imagine our future boldly To discern your direction wisely To persevere in your holy will courageously To stay together in charity To surrender our own plans readily To embrace the greater good To hand on your gifts to future generations. May we remain in the holy company of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the apostles, and all the saints May their example and presence inspire us with patient confidence in the work of your grace. We ask this of you who reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirt, one God forever and ever. Amen.

Nardi Victor Roa Frank Karagianes Kim D Amico Gyna Gazzi Reverence and Celebration ~Sister Caritas Since we are now in the month of March, we are almost to spring. Soon, if not already, flowers will begin to push their green sprouts through the earth. Buds will appear on the trees and all of creation is about to burst forth with new life, spring life. This unique Spring beauty reminds us of the beauty that is God. It reminds us that our world is filled with the splendor and presence of God. In today s Gospel, Jesus drives out those who are disrespecting the Temple. Money Changers and sellers are told to leave and Jesus reminds the people, Take these out of here, and stop making my Father s house a marketplace. For us too it is easy to forget the sacredness of the Church. We need people to volunteer to clean the Church. We need people to remember to reverence the Church by decorating for celebrations. We need people to turn off their phones during Church and to not bring coffee into the Church space. We need to reverence our Church, for like creation and in a special way. God dwells here with us. Jesus also talks about destroying the temple and in three days He will raise it up. The Jews thought He was speaking of the physical building but He was speaking of Himself, His body. We know He died and came back to life in three days. Just as Jesus revenged the physical Temple, He also reverenced His own physical existence. St. Paul tells us, Do you not know you are the temple of the Holy Spirit? We know God dwells in us though Baptism. Just as we reverence the Church so we should show respect and reverence to ourselves and each other. We need to remember God dwells in us and is with us. So we are called to reverence and care for all of creation, which we are a part of. We are called to respect and reverence the Church, each other, and the covenant we have made with God to keep the commandments. We rejoice that God is with us.
