He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. (Acts 10:38) On this Easter Sunday, allow Jesus to fill your mind, body and soul. Pray for guidance on how to live your life, open your heart to those in need and give thanks to God for all that He has given you. Divine Mercy Sunday April 3, 2016 Divine Mercy Sunday is a very special Sunday when the Divine Floodgates from Heaven are wide-opened and Jesus offers us the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment to any soul who goes to Confession and receives Him in Holy Communion. The Feast of Mercy is celebrated the first Sunday after Easter to show us the close connection between the Easter mystery of man s redemption and the feast. It is a day of Grace and great promise; a promise of complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. It is equal to the Sacrament of Baptism. Join us for a new beginning. D.N.A. Community Center will be sharing our annual finance report on Wednesday, March 30. Tours begin at 6:00 and a short program will start at 6:45. It will be just like a night at the movies, without the movie! Popcorn bar and movie treats provided. Join us for a fun night celebrating what God is doing through this mission in our backyard. We are ever grateful for your support! For more information contact Tamara Reed, Managing Director, at 614-824-8340 or tamara@dnaplaincity.com page 3

the jubilee year of mercy Vatican News: from March 15, 2016 Mother Teresa will become a canonized saint September 4 in Rome. Pope Francis signed the decree for the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata, formerly Calcutta, and announced its date and venue for her and four others. This became official at the ordinary public consistory of cardinals and promoters of the causes of the saints in the Vatican, which formally ended the process of approving a new saint. On Oct. 19, 2003, Mother Teresa was beatified after Pope St. John Paul II recognized her miraculous healing of an Indian woman with a tumor in her abdomen. On Dec. 17, 2015, Pope Francis recognized the miraculous healing of the late sister s intercession of a Brazilian man with multiple brain abscesses. The consistory also approved and confirmed the following canonizations for four other blessed: Blessed Mary Elizabeth Hesselblad, a Swedish Lutheran convert who established the Bridgettine order in her nation. Canonization date: June, 5, 2016. Blessed Stanislaus Papczynski of Poland, who founded the Marians of the Immaculate Conception. Canonization date: June 5, 2016 Blessed Jose Sanchez del Rio, a 14-year-old Mexican boy who was killed for refusing to renounce his faith in the 1920s during the Cristero War. Canonization date: October 16, 2016. Argentine Blessed Jose Gabriel del Rosario, referred to as the gaucho priest. Canonization date: October 16, 2016.
