KANI KANI PELE The Monthly Newsletter of Kailua United Methodist Church Volume XXI No. 7 July 2018 1110 Kailua Road, Kailua, HI 96734 Making Disciples of Christ from All Generations It s with great joy and excitement that I write to you, Kailua United Methodist Church, for the first me. Ministry, as with life, is full of twists and turns and unexpected opportunies. Like many people who find themselves here on beauful Oahu, I never would have imagined that God would call my family and me to this place. Over the past two years of living in Niu Valley, we have grown to appreciate so much about Hawaii. Our daughter Stella was born at Queens Hospital, our boys Hudson and Grayson spend countless hours playing outside, and even our dog Emma finds herself jumping in wave a-er wave. Send me an email at PastorBrian@kailuaumc.org or call me at the church office. Let me know when it is good for you to get together and talk-story. The book of Genesis says we were made in God s image only a-er we were in relaonship with another. My calling and role as your pastor is to serve by proclaiming God s word, ordering our lives, both administravely and through our faith pracces, by administering the sacraments of Holy Communion and Bapsm; and through service to both the community of Kailua UMC and the community beyond the walls of the
