Role of the Commission Coordinator A link between Pastor and ministries. Supervise, evaluate, authorize, control ministries: Activities Expenses Reimbursements Check Requests Will oversee planning of the calendar and so avoid conflicts with other ministries or activities. 6

Finances & Administration What to do? New vision: from My Ministry to Our Parish. Save money and raise income. What are we doing right now? Talking and working with the Archdiocese and the Finance & Pastoral Council. Reviewing Staff, hours, duties, etc. Implementing better practices at every level. Reviewing the Hall Administration. Refining our bookkeeping. 9
Finances & Administration, con t New way of organizing fundraisers: They should benefit the Parish, so the Parish can fulfill its mission. If they Parish have enough resources, what it has will be shared with the ministries. Limit the number of fundraisers New ways of handling money & resources: Follow the guidelines of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. We will combine the 10 accounts into one. Keep good internal control and supervision at every level. Reports per event and/or fundraisers will be implemented. All money must stay at the Parish s premises. Internal procedures and policies will be presented soon. 10
Spiritual Life This is the mission of the Parish: Bring people closer to God New Schedule for Weekday masses. More opportunities for confessions, devotions, sacraments and special liturgies. More emphasis in formation and catechesis. 11
Extras Criminal background check and safe environment training will be done for all ministers. Criminal Background Check Forms Per the Archdiocese: All clergy, religious, seminarians, and employees must be screened regardless of the type of work they perform. Volunteers of the Archdiocese of San Antonio who directly minister, work or volunteer with minors and/or vulnerable persons ( Designated Volunteers ) must also be screened. Everyone will complete the Criminal Background Check Form. Safe Environment Training Per the Archdiocese: The Archdiocese of San Antonio requires all clergy, staff, candidates for ordination, and adult volunteers who minister to children/youth to complete Adult Safe Environment Training. Training is required to be renewed every three years. The Archdiocese of San Antonio is currently using Protecting God's Children developed by Virtus to educate adults on abuse prevention. Virtus provides traditional on-site training, on-line training, and on-line renewal training. I will keep being honest and working together we can make St Leonard the best parish. 12
Extras, con t 60 th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Celebration! Sunday September 15, 2019 (Save the Date!) Planning for 4-6 main events and a special liturgy with Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller. Coordinators for this Jubilee are the Special Events Committee, everyone is welcome to support them! Some potential events are: Pilgrimage to Italy to venerate St Leonard relics, an Oktoberfest celebration, a Food Truck Picnic, a series of the Life of ministry of St Leonard, a Jubilee dinner and much more! Kick-off event will be on the week on the Feast of St. Leonard, November 26 th, 2018. 13
