MESSAGE FROM CARDINAL DOLAN A Pastoral Message on the Crisis Facing Our Church has been recorded and distributed to parishes for viewing. The message will be played after ALL Masses THIS WEEKEND. BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN During the month of October, which is Respect Life Month, our parish will hold our Annual Baby Bottle Campaign. Pick up a Baby Bottle after Mass. Bring it home, and during October, fill it with loose change. Return it the first weekend of November. Your gift will be used to help the Tri Parish Respect Life programs and activities, such as Birthright, CareNet and Respect Life Speakers. It is also used to subsidize our March for Life Bus to Washington, D.C. We are grateful for your generosity. UNITED STATES ROSARY RALLY COAST TO COAST Catholics throughout the US will gather today, October 7th to pray the Rosary. Our parish is joining this nation-wide effort! Here on the East Coast, the Rosary will start at 4:00pm. We will gather in front of our church at the Statue of Our Lady. Come and join us. Our Parish Council is hosting an evening with Fr. Thomas Berg, author of Hurting In The Church: A Way Forward For Wounded Catholics. Fr. Initial plans are to meet in the Parish Meeting Room, but we can move to church if more room is necessary. The parish will have available for purchase copies of his book. Expectant Parent Blessing Awaiting the birth of a child is a time filled with excitement and anxiety. HOLY HOUR FOR HEALING Father Connolly and Father Michael will lead a Holy Hour For Healing of Victims of Abuse on Thursday, October 11 from 7:30 8:30pm in church. We also seek God s forgiveness for the failures of the Church and the sins of church leaders. There will be Exposition, Rosary, Litany of the Sacred Heart, Prayers for Healing, music led by Mike Bilello, quiet time and Benediction. COLUMBUS DAY Monday, October 8th is Columbus Day. Morning Mass will be at 8:00am. All parish offices will be closed on Columbus Day. Father Connolly has planned a special Evening of Prayer for Liturgical Ministers on Thursday, November 15 from 7:30 9:00 p.m. in the church. Fr. TODDLER 2 S PRE-K The Ark & Dove Preschool of St. Denis Church currently has openings in their 2 Day Toddler Two s Program! The session meets on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9am - 10:30am. This is a program specially designed with two year olds in mind. Children must be two years of age by December 1st and each child must be accompanied by a participating adult. Each day, children will participate in a variety of activities. Through a consistent and structured daily routine, they will begin to understand what it is like to be in a preschool program.
