Thank You for Your Support of Olivia s Dream Room Makeover From the moment we met Olivia, it was clear that she loved the outdoors and wanted to be taken away to an enchanted kingdom. She would be the princess and her kingdom would be filled with secret hideaways, rolling hills and her favorite colors, blue and pink. She requested a zebra and walls that were striped in pink and white. She also requested a bed big enough for her family to share because she is frightened to sleep alone. As a designer, my number one goal was to create a safe place for Olivia to heal; a room where she wouldn t be scared and that she could sleep soundly so that her body could kick cancers butt! Our hunch was that our princess warrior also liked tea parties Olivia is a princess who knows what she wants. We were happy to see that the room was exactly what she wanted and needed! In her words, beautiful is how she described her room to us and her eyes were filled with pure joy!
Olivia s Enchanted Kingdom The Cinderella carriage bed is from Disney and sold only on the East Coast. We were blessed enough to find this one in Brooklyn. The duvet and bedding was handmade with love just for Olivia and comes from China. The draperies are a beautiful silver with a damask pattern prefect for her princess room. A child s silver vanity with a pink fur stool in front of a mural is just what Olivia needs to get ready for her princess balls and dress-up activities.
With Rolling Hills and Trees The hand-carved tree, made by Mike and Kevin that took 50+ hours, is in the corner alongside a table set for tea parties. Olivia likes this most!!!
Complete with a Castle View and a 9-Foot Tree with a Secret Hide-Away The inspiration photo for the mural was from Olivia and painted by Shannon. Absolutely beautiful and a perfect match for what Olivia was looking for! The lit hideaway nook in the tree trunk is just perfect for her. Olivia needs to feel safe when she is alone. Rest is essential for battling cancer!

Mom s Thank You to Us All Hi Shelley, I just wanted to say an incredibly huge thank you to you and all of your team!! Olivia, Lauren and Taylor are so in love with their new rooms! As you know, our one hope was that she would sleep in her own bed. On the night of the reveal, I went in to her room with her to help her fall asleep. I was expecting a long stay while she got comfortable enough to fall asleep. I was only in the room for about 30 seconds when she said to me: "you can go back to your room now mommy, I'm going to sleep." That night for the first time, all 4 kids slept in their own beds all night long until morning. It was simply amazing!!! It Was An Honor And Privilege To Be Olivia s Interior Designer, But It Takes A Village To Put These Smiles On Olivia s Face Thank You All! We could not have dreamed up anything better than what you gave us. What you do is truly wonderful and you have such a gift to do what you do so well. We want to thank the volunteers as well. Everyone put in so much time, thought and hard work into making these rooms so special for my family. We are all still in shock at how perfect each room is. Tonight is night 3 since the reveal and Olivia is in her bed once again. I think that she finally has a special place of her own that she wants to sleep in and we have you all to thank for that! I posted some pictures on Olivia's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/oliviasstory21 if you'd like to see them. Thank you again so much, we are incredibly grateful for all you've done. With love, The Khalil Family Karin, Chris, Lauren, Taylor, Olivia and Ethan

Creating Spaces That Matter for Olivia and her sisters, Lauren and Taylor! To Our Rooms of Hope Family You Did It Again! Olivia and her family have been through so much. As such, sometimes children show their fear and unhappiness about their situation in ways that are different than expected. In reality, it all boils down to a four-year-old child, sick with cancer, and needing to know that she is loved. Olivia is thrilled with her room and finds safety there. For the first time ever in her life, she is able to be alone while sleeping. Her surroundings now support healing and a sense of well-being. Mom and dad will finally get some rest and most importantly so will Olivia. In two words, this room represents all that is good for Olivia in her Safe Haven! I am honored to have been Olivia s interior designer. Thank you to each of you who donated or spent time to make this possible!!!
