The St John Visiting Ministry is sponsoring a special Mass on Tuesday, Nov.2, at 5:30 pm for the St John parish members who have passed away during the past year. This Mass will be instead of the usual Saturday morning Visiting Ministry meeting. If you are a Pius X High School student during this 2010-2011 school year, then you can be applying for scholarships now. They will be awarding approximately $30,000 in scholarships this year. Applications are being accepted and the deadline is October 20th.. Please contact the Pius X Guidance Office at 488-0931 for an application form or you can go to Pius X s website: www.piusx.net, then select Pius X Foundation, Foundation Home, Scholarships and then the Application form. Dr Alveda King (niece of Dr Martin Luther King) and Mary Louise Kurey (former Miss Wisconsin) will be the speakers. A unique feature of this year s conference will be a trip to Planned Parenthood s abortion facility for a prayer service. RENT-A-TEEN There are young adults in our parish who are wanting to earn money to attend World Youth Day 2011. Pius X High School is accepting applications for a full time (32+ hours) Administrative Assistant for the Pius X Foundation. Must have experience with Microsoft Office software; knowledge of donor database software and graphic design application experience a plus. He graduated from Pius X High school in 2006 and spent one year at Benedictine College. Tyler graduated from St. Gregory the Great Seminary in May, 2010 with a Philosophy degree.
