I pray all are well AND refreshed! I am writing this article on Monday and it is amazingly windy and cool outside. Someone in the parish loves it one guess who? LOL Whenever there is a wind I am reminded of the Holy Spirit. We have no idea where it (the wind) goes and where it comes from, much like our life. Oh, we have our plans, and we know exactly how things will turn out. NOT, but this is a good thing, as sheep we need to learn to trust and rest. We, as sheep, waste our lives and worry so much about things that may never happen, once in a blue moon our priorities are on the mark but for the most part we concern ourselves with nonsense. We concern ourselves with what others think of us biggest waste of time ever!!! In the animal game, we as sheep have nothing to brag about. Instead of being as slippery as an eel, as sly as a fox as swift as a deer as brave as a lion as proud as a peacock as loyal as a dog as agile as a cat we are sheep - natures D student. The beauty of our title is that as sheep we have a shepherd. One who watches over us, who provides for our needs, is ever there when we turn to Him! We are able to raise our (academic) grade when we follow our Shepherd. When we realize, left to ourselves we may make the right decision but we probably won t. We are created out of love to have the most wonderful life, a life f peace and joy, a life of confidence and security. If we do not have this we are not following the Shepherd but trying to make our own way, forge our own path I guarantee it! Have a great week!, Love, Fr. Mike Our New Transitional Deacons Congratulations to Deacons Anthony Astrab and Joshua Hare from our diocese who were ordained on Saturday, April 14, at St. Joan of Arc Parish in Boca Raton. Please pray for them as they continue their journey toward the priesthood! A Day at Bishop Larkin Catholic School: Home of the Cougars! ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD Our students flourish in faith, compassion, service and leadership. Schedule a tour today and let us show you why our students succeed and shine! Contact Valerie at office@bishoplarkin.org Bishop Gregory Parkes will ordain Deacons Kyle Bell, Louis Turcotte and Timothy Williford to the priesthood on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, St. Petersburg. Our This and That Sale was a hit again! We raised $1,466 Yay!! It was a little less than last year s spring sale, but it s still a blessing-god is good, all the time!! Thank you to all who donated the items, those who volunteered to set up, sell, and clean up and those who shopped. The week long preparation up to the day of sale was so exhausting, but yet we all had fun and who did not? There were a lot of bargain, finding unique things- both new and old treasures, parishioners we met ( so wonderful to know more parishioners each time), a lot of food to eat (for volunteers to give them energy) and seeing the youth work and bond with each other is one of my utmost satisfaction. Thank you to all the volunteers: Mrs. Kara Perro, Ms. Gloria, Mrs. Amity Sowash and her children Vivian and Vincent, Mr & Mrs. Richard and Vickie Lamparski, Mrs. Ester Lopez, Mrs. Kathi Luzader, Mrs. Peggy Overbaugh, Ms. Paula Campbell, Ms. Angela Zappale, Mrs. Debbie Marlin and daughter Jade, Mrs. Virgie Gagne, Mrs. Cathi Kessel and daughter Christina, Mrs. Judy Licari and son Michael, Ms. Terry Jackson, Sabrina Armani, Ivan, sisters Giada and Zelinda, Ms. Janet Kaprinski, Mrs. Jeyra Bajala, Ms. Julie Toske, Mrs. Gwen Roth, Mrs. Angela Layow and daughter Keela, Ms. Jean B. and Mrs. Barbara Cichocki and son Wayne. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! You are the best!!
