Brainstorming possibilities for living into our Vision Newsprint Notes from workgroups @ Yellowstone Presbytery meeting Nov. 6 & 7, 2009, Butte MT Yellowstone Presbytery guided and sustained by Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and prayer is a community rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. We will... Gather Together for God s glory and spiritual synergy. Equip and Encourage disciple making congregations and leaders for living the Gospel... intentionally becoming more like Christ; ably sharing our faith; impacting our communities; worshipping in loving response to God; and mutually supporting and training leaders. Go Out to join Christ in Christ s mission in our communities, Montana, and the world... embodying and sharing Christ s Good News; loving and serving, as we are commanded, in our words, actions, and relationships. Vision Statement adopted 11/6/09 GATHER TOGETHER Names listed in each workgroup below are those who signed the sheets. These will be combined with input and names from the Vision Retreat and from future brainstorming and planning in the New Year as we prayerfully live into our Vision. Contact Dakota presbytery and get facts Prison ministry Deer Lodge, Billings (women s) to & with inmates, families including - sojourning families living nearby, visiting families Students & campusus 16-28 age range - charateristics &/or needs of this age group include ; Transient population; Need: consistent leadership & can communicate well here media

Their schedules and times are scattered; Some specific felt needs-food, conversation, dialogue consumer generation; How to make connections across generations, share advice be available for questions ; Needs- i.e. change my tires, rides to church; Help do with them greater needs now Low income people i.e. those receiving food stamps may need toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Identify those in need Think globally-school kits, gloves, supplies, coats, bicycles Youth ministry-equip and train congregations in smaller communities, share curriculum Share people, equip, [equip & encourage] Partner Needed : a Resource bank and match up (computer) Women s needs Become educated regarding both needs and what is already being done and by whom? what goals?
