Holy Trinity Parish HOLY TRINITY UPCOMING EVENTS MEAL FOR THE HOMELESS SHELTER Next Sunday we are providing dinner for the guests of the homeless shelter at St. Joseph s Church in Lorain. We are asking you to provide: Chicken Casserole (Recipe on the website or on the shelves in the back of church), cooked mixed vegetables, salad and dessert. Please drop off your menu items in the Holy Trinity Church parking lot on Sunday, March 2nd from 3:30 to 4:00 PM. The items should be cooked but do not need to be hot and please package for spill proof transportation. NON-PERISHABLE FOOD COLLECTION It is time to refill the shelves of the food pantry at St. Mary s in Lorain. The St. Vincent DePaul Commission is collecting non-perishable food next Sunday, March 2nd. Please contribute if you can. Place all of your donations in the back of the church by the choir loft stairs. BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASS The next Baptism Preparation Class will take place next week on Tuesday, March 4th at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. If you are planning on having your child baptized at Holy Trinity, are registered in the Parish and have not attended a Baptism preparation class in the last 5 years, then this is the class for you. AREA NEWS and EVENTS 2014 FIRST STEP PROGRAM The Tribunal of the Diocese of Cleveland is continuing to offer its very successful First Step Program to help individuals attempt to pick up the pieces of one s life after the tragedy of divorce. The Church s teachings on marriage, divorce and remarriage are often misunderstood. This program is offered to help everyone, especially those who have experienced divorce, learn more about Catholic teaching in these areas. The next local general meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at St. Peter Parish in Lorain at 7:00 PM. EAGLE SCOUT BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT Andrew Hamilton of Holy Trinity s Boy Scout Troop 462 will have an Eagle Scout Beautification Project on the church grounds. His project will entail putting a walkway to and around the Mother Theresa statue as well as benches and arbors with climbing roses. Andrew will collect monetary donations after masses on the weekends of March 1st /2nd and March 8th/9th. All donations will be used on the project.
