Next week s scripture reading: May 13, 2018-the Seventh Sunday of Easter- Jesus spent the forty days after his resurrection teaching his disciples about the kingdom of God. Now Jesus has ascended to God and his disciples have assumed leadership of the early church. Jesus does not leave them alone, he promises the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide them as they lead.
