Worked in finance (in various positions when she retired she was working at the Ministry of Finance where she had held positions from assistant to the minister to under-secretary and others.) How religious was your parents home? How were you raised? Moderately religious. We did not have any special rituals for Sabbath. My mother cooked beans for Friday night in a special pot in the oven and around them she put dough. My father did not work on Sabbath. And since my mother cooked the day before she also did not work on Sabbath. They relaxed, they took walks. We celebrated the holidays, went to the synagogue. What is your mother tongue? Ladino What other languages do you speak? Serbian, Macedonian, French, German, Bulgarian 2
