WHEN YOU SEE AN AGED MAN RUNNING, THE YORUBAS SAYS IF HE IS NOT PURSUING SOMETHING THEN SOMETHING MUST BE PURSUING HIM.

Can anyone guess what was on their minds?

RCCG VISION THE NEXT LEVEL RCCG SMART GOALS It is SPECIFIC: Simple, Sensible and Significant but it is time to measure how close or how far are we from achieving it. Habakuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. When Daddy GO say we must double how do we know when we have doubled? For a goal to be SMART It must be MEASURABLE: To make heaven To take as many people with us How do we measure that? ereporting!!! To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations. To achieve 2 & 3 we will plant churches within 5 minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within 5 minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries. How do we measure these? ereporting!!! 4

WHAT GET MEASURED GET DONE When we started measuring performance, report reaching us after Admin/Personnel issued out the first performance letters reveal the following: Good & effective follow up strategies are now gradually evolving. Even Area Pastors are now involved in Parish membership/attendance of the Parishes under them. We had an instance where one of our senior Pastor attended a church service outside Lagos recently and as a first timer in this RCCG parish he received 14 calls from them within one week. The Parish Pastor called, the Area Pastor also called, men & Brethren this is a good development. Parishes are now asking for virtual presence on the net in other to expand the reach of the gospel beyond the bricks & mortal parishes. New evangelism ideas are coming up, structure to retain the youth is being put in place and so many other things are following. Up till last month September, we measure growth by comparing average weekly attendance this month with other months. The first review for this Redeemed calendar Year will be on quarterly basis. The first quarter performance review will come up on the system in the 1 st week of December. In December when we downloading our quarterly performance report it will include RCCG VISION & MISSION STATEMENT turned into numbers as our PARISH TARGET. 5

WHAT GET MEASURED GET DONE Take for instance RCCG Vision number 3: Brethren to have 1 RCCG member in every family of all nations, our membership list must add up to 1,468,532,655 members in 258 countries. This is based on the following assumptions:- The world population as at July 29, 2016 was estimated at 7,432,663,275 which is 1.13% growth above 2015 figure. If we assume 6 persons per family in developing nations and about 4 persons per family in developed nations. Then average persons per family in the world will be 5. Estimated RCCG members will be 7,432,663,725/5 = 1,468,532,655 members. Let us assume we make 10% of these RCCG members as church workers it means that we will have 146,853,265 workers & another 10% of the workforce as ministers then we will have 14,685,326 ministers. In summary, we will have 1,306,994,064 congregational members, 146,853,265 workers and 14,685,326 ministers. 6

WHERE ARE WE NOW RCCG SMART GOALS Established in 1952 our church have grown from less than 60 Parishes to about 45,000 Parishes within 6 Geographic continents. In Nigeria we have the following data in August, 2017 (using census figures as at 2009 from National Bureau For Statistics): GRAND TOTAL RCCG AVG WEEKLY ATTENDANCE TOTAL @AUGUST, 2017 2,492,511 NIGERIA'S EST. POPULATION TOTAL 154,293,179 RCCG MEMBERS TO NIGERIA'S EST. POPULATION 1.615% RCCG NIGERIA TARGET: 25,715,530 members. This is about 17% of achievement on target. Based on Vision & Mission statement Here we take average members per family in Nigeria to be six & using this against 2009 population censor we have 154,293,170/6 = 25, 715, 530 7

If RCCG is to achieve vision 2 and 3 in accordance with our vision and mission realization statement number (5), we stated we would plant churches in every 5 minutes walking distance of cities and towns of developing nations and every 5 minutes driving distance of cities and towns of developed nations. The numbers of churches that can be planted are as follows:- 58,807,349 churches in developing nations. 651,990 churches in developed nations The above figure is based on the hypothesis below. 1. The entire surface area of the earth is 197million sq. miles. 2. The surface area is made up of 70.8% water and 29.2% of land. 3. The land area of the entire world is therefore 57,524,000-00 sq. miles.(i.e. 29.2% of 197 million sq. miles) 4. An average of 50% of the earth land area is inhospitable to human inhabitation and another 30.9% consists of forest region. The conclusion is that churches cannot be planted in about 80.9% of the earth total land area. 5. The land area of developed countries is 23,655,894.20 sq. miles. The occupied land area of developed countries where churches can be planted will then be (19.10% of 23,655,894.20) = 4,518,275.79 square miles.

* Therefore, the number of churches = (58,807,347+ 2) = 58,807,349 approx * The land area of developing countries is 33,868,105.80 sq. miles. The occupied land area of developing countries where churches can be planted will then be (19.10% of 33,868,105.80) = 6,468,808.21 sq. miles. The numbers of churches that can be planted in developing nations is calculated as follows:- An average man can walk ½ a mile in 5 minutes Assume an imaginary 3 churches (indicated by 3 cross signs) are planted at a distance of ½ a mile from each other which represents an equilateral triangle. Each side of the triangle is ½ a mile each Area of the triangle = 0.11 sq. miles. * The 1 st triangle will have 3 cross signs (churches) while others that makes up the occupied land area of developing nations will have 1 cross sign (church) The occupied land area of developing countries where churches can be planted will be (19.10% of 33,868,105.80) = 6,468,808.21 sq. miles The number of triangles that will fill the occupied land area of developing nations will then be: 6,468,808-21/0.11 = 58,807,347 triangles.

The numbers of churches that can be planted in developed nations is calculated as follows:- Average driving distance is 4 miles in 5 minutes (average of 50 mph) Assume an imaginary 3 churches (indicated by 3 cross signs) are planted at a distance of 4 miles from each other which represents an equilateral Triangle. Each side of the triangle is 4 miles each Area of the triangle = 6.93 sq. miles The 1 st triangle will have 3 cross signs (churches) while others that makes up the area of developed nations will have 1 cross sign (church) The occupied land area of developed countries where churches can be planted will be (19.10% of 23,655,894.20) = 4,518,275.79 sq. miles The number of triangles that will fill the occupied land area of Developed nations will then be: 4,518,275.79 /6.93 = 651,988 triangles Therefore, the number of churches = (651,988+ 2) = 651,990 approx.

The Unfinished Task - Achieving Vision 2 and 3 Total number of churches to be planted= 58,807,349 + 651,990 = 59,459,339 churches. Estimated number of existing parishes is about 45,000 (actual figure yet to be confirmed). Estimated additional number churches to be planted = 59,459,339 45,000 = 59,414,339 churches. Estimated Pastors required in the new parishes are 59,434,339 Pastors SUGGESTED STRATEGIES New strategies will be required to achieve our vision and mission statement one of which includes creation of virtual parishes. The use of social media as a tool for church growth. Just as we have House Fellowship can we have FACEBOOK FELLOWSHIP What get measured get done. Measurement of current performance against required targets using the platform provided for this purpose i.e. ereporting Making it mandatory for users to input accurate data into this system Direct input of data by the Parishes using mobile phones only and entering data as texts etc. At the end of service on Sundays if head ursher will send detail to Parish Pastors who will then send the message syntax below to a sample a number PID=191,SSM=205,SSW=415,SSC=310,HFT=45,DDT=145,FCT=160

RCCG ereporting: THE ISSUES

RCCG ereporting: THE ISSUES & Solutions Proferred Missing data of Parishes: Admin officers omitted some parishes when entering data of attendance for the past months. Revelation Parish, Region 20, Province 4, Oluwatedo Area Lagos State Nigeria Year 2016 @Sep Oct-16 Nov-16 Dec-16 Jan-17 Feb-17 Mar-17 Apr-17 May-17 Jun-17 Jul-17 Aug-17 K1 attendance figure 130 152 160 158 180 175 170 182 190 159 182 201 K2 attendance figure 110 138 142 138 151 155 162 166 174 140 176 180 K3 attendance figure 128 142 140 139 156 154 154 159 177 60 177 166 K4 attendance figure 120 130 128 130 164 160 158 160 177 17 164 172 K5 attendance figure 0 126 0 0 152 0 0 160 0 0 183 0 488 688 570 565 803 644 644 827 718 376 882 719 vg monthly attendance 122 138 143 141 161 161 161 165 180 94 176 180 ARGET% achievement 100% 12.79% 16.80% 15.78% 31.64% 31.97% 31.97% 35.57% 47.13% -22.95% 44.59% 47.34% r 2016 Avg Weekly att 122 r 2017 Avg Weekly att 154 Growth in 11 months 26.60% arish Performance Summarry s at September 2016 your average weekly attendance was 22 s at August, 2017 your average weekly attegance is 154 ou have only grew by 26.6% against 100% to double according to the instruction of our General Overseer oint to note. Your parish grew by 47.4% in August, 2017 and almost the same feat was achieved by you and your ministers in May and July of the same year. You must ave done omething special within those months that enhances your performance kindly review your programmes within those months and work more on it to achieve reater result n this year of Halleluyah. ay the Almigthy God give you grace sufficient enough to do the job.

The PICP felt aggreived and packed together 2015 red forms, 2016 red forms and 2017 red forms compiled data of these parishes mentioned and sent them to us. What happened is this: They have data on hands but they never keyed them into the system. RCCG ereporting: THE ISSUES & Solutions Proferred Missing data affects performance computation of Parishes: Missing data affects the performance of computation of Area, Zones, Provinces & Regions. A Region had the following performance summary: Province xx is the weakest link of this Region. The Province had a negative growth of -13.67% which translate to a loss of 1092 souls within the year under review. Drilling down further the following Parishes has contributed in no small measure to this negative growth and the Province becoming the Region weakest link: Beautiful gate, Adonai, The Lord Sceptre, Mercy Seats and Tower Of Glory. Details of the performance of these Parishes had been sent to the Regional Evangelist, Church Growth Officers and Province Youth Coordinators for further actions. On your own kindly put up a strategy in place to ensure the pattern of their performance change when next the church is reviewing performances again.

RCCG ereporting: THE ISSUES & Solutions Proferred We have programmed the system to now send emails and/or SMS to Parish Pastors detailing their attendance data that the Area Admin Officers/Accountant have keyed into the system. If there are issues Parish Pastors should get back to their Area Admin Officers/Accountant within 12hours to correct the issue and before National close the system for the month. For these feed back to work Province Admin Officers and Province Accountant should ensure that Parish Pastors have their recent profiles updated on the system. Parish Pastors should contact their Admin officers both at the Area and at Province level to update their profiles. Parish Pastors should take note of the followings: 1. That we are about to enable Parish Pastors to send details of their financial and admin report by themselves using their laptops or smart phones. 2. Details of these will be made available on the system soon.

For example we have learnt that when you take notice of your environment what is happening there, what else you can do to improve on whatever you are doing now, definitely you will be on top. Review The Performance Report: RCCG REGION 20 HQTR PARISH: THE CITY OF DAVID.THE LEARNING POINTS 1. City Of David: Top most performing parish in RCCG in the past 6 months with average growth rate of between 0.3% - 1.15%. Their weekly average attendance hovers between 6750 and 6900. 2. The parish is located within a geographical location with LG population of 177,085 people. 3. Registered voters was 78,602 (one of the highest during 2015 election). 4. A total of 50,352 registered phone subscribers. 5. Apart from City Of David RCCG has a total of 23 parishes within this LG with a total number of 13,790 members on the average Sunday attendance. Being the topmost parish that have the largest attendance as at present quite a number of our ministers who have access to the best 100 top performing parishes in RCCG have asked us in IT the veracity of these figures. Rather than casting aspersions and doubts on the integrity of data inputted into ours system I have always encouraged others to check on what their colleagues are doing and learn from it.

Review The Performance Report: Report from a Snifer data packet software used to scan the location (at a time on Sunday when services were held in that parish) shows: Average Facebook users on Sundays between the hour of 6am- 12pm : 37,291 Dating Sites: 1,220 Other platforms: 2,012 (data packet sniffed on 2 nd July,2017) The Parish also provides internet streaming platform for those watching outside the brick and mortal church. In fact, during Tuesday digging deep those watching online can participate during questions and answers time interactively via Twitter and other messaging platforms. This is a wonderful idea. We equally learnt that other outlets serves as mobile church all to gain souls for Christ. What this is saying to us in earnest is that when you have data to work it, when you can measure performance against agreed targets and show it to those incharge they will surely put strategies in place or cause it to evolve and get results anyhow and somehow.

Review The Performance Report: 1. With RCCG ereporting all you need to do is to input your data, the system will process it for you and give you an output that will provide guidance and support to reach our desired goals, 2. Remember what get measured get done. When you are able measure it you will be able to compare it and come up with strategies to get it done. 3. Remember also what get talked about gets done. You can print out your performances or put it on mail or excel sheet or read it out from your tablets and continue to talk about it you will get it done. 4. Remember also when have data about where you are and you are able to compare same with where you are going whatever you notice as gaps you will be able to confront it. Remember whatever you confront get done. 5. When the system reveal to you positive growth that tends to fulfil your goals then you will reward the performers and put fertilizer around the non performer. Remember what get rewarded get done.

It would complement the existing brick and mortar parishes and not eliminate them The number of personnel required setting up internet parishes can be easily managed by the mission. The training cost of each i-pastor and his/her team will be within the mission s reach. Undiluted messages from the General Overseer and other senior pastors would bestandardized across the globe. On-line counseling and prayer sessions could hold on the internet. On-line donations and collection of offerings and tithes is guaranteed With this we can leverage on the power of the internet to evangelize the world. A typical web portal for e-ministry 19
