Roy was a genuine person with a zest for life. (Remember the Corvette stories?) When I was a young girl, I would visit Rochester and tell people that one day I would work for Xerox and fly in airplanes to go around the country. Wound up that working for Roy, I was able to see a lot of the world of imaging science and also the "real world" from a global company perspective. Roy managed a good group of people well and he carried a lot of responsibility for a good company. His employees felt respected. He contributed to the Office Document Architecture (ODA) standards which were advanced and powerful! Roy enjoyed life and we all must to do the same, for that is what he would want. Jean Baronas JEAN BARONAS, FEBRUARY 1, 2008 We are very saddened to learn of Roy's passing but are jubilant that he is with the Lord. We shall join him one day and laugh and carry on about old times. Indeed, what a fitting description that Roy had no enemies, just friends. So few people can that be said about. Sincere sympathy to all of the family. BOB AND JOAN EISENBRAUN, JANUARY 26, 2008 He was Roy to most of you to me he ll always be remembered as Pops Pierce - A kind, generous, loving, and caring person who did a lot for me who I'll always remember.
