Diapers For Newborns WCS is asking for diaper donations for our Ambassador families. Mauwa Yalala recently delivered a baby girl, and in the next 4 months there will be more newborns at Wesley. A basket for donations is located in front of the office. Thank You. Wesley Community Services has partnered with Drive Zone, a neighborhood driver education business located on West 16th Street. We have extended an offer of driving lessons to a group of 12 Anyuak adult and teenage Ambassadors. Money being used was donated from Seventh & Eighth Christian Church to the Refugee Faith Care Team. They have started a 10-week session of Saturday classes, ending on November 11th. Each student will receive 6 onehour driving lessons. Anyuak men who have been in the United States longer than some of their spouses and teenagers are providing translation services. The program is working extremely well, according to Rachel Campbell, the owner/ instructor. Maybe these folks will become our next generation of van drivers! 5

The monetary donations received from WCS and Wesley members and friends, made it possible to buy the supplies and ship the packages. One business owner donated a box of toothbrushes and a customer who was in line behind Gaylene and Marilyn paid for their purchases. A wonderful lunch was also provided to all the volunteers by Shawnette. This is another example of Wesley coming together to help those in need.
