FROM THE PRINCIPAL S DESK Dear Students, Parents and fellow educators, WE ARE THE WORLD AWAKEN THE GENIUS IN YOUR CHILD MAY 15TH 2011 For this issue I would like you to think about two eminent Indian educationists of the 20th century, tagore and Gandhi. One was a poet and the other a political leader, but they were also great educationists, though they had dissimilar backgrounds..educationists today would do well to remind themselves of the basic ideas of education of these two great stalwarts. Very briefly let me recapitulate them for you. 1.Education is a preparation of life and is a life long process. 2.Educators are only facilitators, hence all education has to be student oriented. 3.Education should be Action oriented and promote liberation of the mind. 4.Education should build abilities in a person to contribute fruitfully to society as the purpose of life is to serve society. 5.Education must be tailored to suit the socioeconomic demands of the region and should promote moral values. With these thoughts in mind, let us usher in new beginnings and move ahead with a purpose. I wish all of you success in all that you undertake.and look forward to your support and feedback With warm wishes, Mr. JOHN ANDREW BAGUL
