A NOTE FROM CU... We know that it can be tough to be a Christian by yourself; the Bible shows us that we should meet together, encourage one another, be taught from the Bible and worship God in unity. Then, the amazing thing is that God s given us a vehicle to do this through: His Church! So, as a group of Christians here at Newcastle University, we think that probably the most important thing you can do when you arrive in Newcastle, is find a local church to get stuck into. NUCU exists to tell everyone on campus about the amazing message of Jesus, it can t replace local church. We re really blessed in Newcastle to have a wealth of brilliant churches, so we run a Church Search for the first five weeks of term, to help you find some of them. We d love you to be rooted in one of them as soon as possible. All across the city there are churches with a variety of backgrounds, styles and emphases, so we pray that you can find somewhere that you feel comfortable to worship and eager to be part of a loving body. Remember, no Church is perfect, but it is essential that you find somewhere with solid teaching and a loving family, rather than spend months church shopping Please take some time to read through this booklet, and feel free to contact any of the church or student contacts. Similarly, anyone at NUCU will be happy to talk to you - we know it can be a bit daunting, but we ll give you as much help as we can. NUCU meets every Friday night (starting 1st October) 7:00pm, Room L120, Claremont Tower.

That s the heart of The House, that s what we re about; the rest is just details, so please feel welcome to come visit us. Oh, and the coffee rocks! This is an amazing church.
