June 27-6:00 - Gathering WORSHIP ONLY. NO FOOD so people can go to candlelight at MUMC. "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 Too often, we try to gain a clear perspective before it is time. That will make us crazy. We do not always know why things are happening the way they are. We do not always know how a particular relationship will work out. We do not always understand the source of our feelings, why we've been led down a particular path, what is being worked out in us, what we are learning, why we needed to recycle, why we had to wait, why we needed to go through a time of discipline, or why a door closed. How our present circumstances will work into the larger scheme of events is not always clear to us. That is how it needs to be. Perspective will come in retrospect. We could strain for hours today for the meaning of something that may come in an instant next year. Let it go. We can let go of our need to figure things out, to feel in control, to make sense of today. Now is the time to be. To feel. To go through it. To allow things to happen. To learn. To let whatever is being worked out in us take its course. In hindsight, we will know. It will become clear. For today, being is enough. We have been told that all things shall work out for good in our life. We can trust that to happen, even is we cannot see the place today's events will hold in the larger picture -- Let go, Let God. We are excited for future Flights and hope to have full flights again. With the extra-curricular schedules at most high schools very full it is never too soon to ask youth to attend a weekend. The sooner they know the dates of the next flight the more likely they will be able to attend. A Chrysalis weekend can truly be a life changing experience that allows youth to accept Christ into their hearts and grow in their personal relationship with Him. We ask the community to prayerfully consider sponsoring youth from their families, local churches and community on the next flights.

Page 3 Blurbs from the Board Members The July Women's Walk at Epworth United Methodist Church near Toledo is fast approaching. We are in need of Volunteers to make this the best walk ever. We will need help setting up on Wednesday evening, July 8th and returning the church to normal on Sunday afternoon, July 12th. We also need Shower Angels on Friday morning (10th), Saturday Morning (11th), Sunday morning (12th). If you help, please call, text, or e-mail me, at 419-276-0978 or skp369@aol.com. God Bless you and thank-you. George Roush, the Logistics East Chair Happy Summertime Community!!! I absolutely love summertime! Who doesn't right? Sunny days, blue skies, warm temperature, grilling out, camping, swimming, sitting outside at night listening to nature and looking up at the sky and just in awe of what kind of God created all of this even summer. After the winter I personally have had in my life, I am so ready for summer! I hope you are too! With that being said, don't forget that the July women's walk is so close! We need pilgrims that are hungry to serve their church. If you know anyone that love to be the hands and feet of Jesus then we need them. I encourage you to pray for God to show you who would benefit going on this walk and when he shows you, Ask them! Lets get those numbers up so we can make this community strong again! Also looking for worship leaders and 4th day speaker for the gatherings that are coming up. If you would like to share your musical talent or if you would like to tell us what God has done in your 4th days please let me know. My email address is mrs.leppala@gmail.com! I look forward to seeing you soon!!! Mindy Leppala, Worship Chair. My name is Scott Smith and I have the privilege of heading up the kitchen at Epworth United Methodist Church for the July Women's walk. We provide food for every meal and snacks. It takes a great deal of people to pull this off as you can imagine. I need your help...even if you only work for a couple hours...it all adds up. We all sat through the same talks...remember Christian Action and Changing Our World? Well, working in the kitchen is an awesome way to put those talks into something tangible. God calls for us to use our gifts to further His kingdom. I love working in the kitchen because I have realized that God uses the time spent side by side others...sometimes strangers...to further my walk too...strange how God uses servant roles to reach us in such an intimate way...we are all one body and when we understand that all of us are important to the body no matter how small or big our contribution is we can share His love more fully with all those around us...it has a ripple effect. Please consider being part of the ripple...you will help share Christ's love and also...your life will be richer for it. Please sign up on the website...walk ins are welcome. These are very challenging times for our Emmaus community, I ask you again to remember how you felt on your walk when you saw all those silent servants loving on the pilgrims with their acts of service. Volunteering in the kitchen is a wonderful opportunity to move that love forward, you may never know what our Mighty God will reveal through these little acts of kindness...thank you all so much for all you do for this community and for our God. Your Brother in Christ, Scott Smith, Kitchen East Chair.

Prayers for Krysti Dubler and Levi Morrow as they begin their new life together (July11) at BG First UMC. Krysti is Jon and Linda Heffner s granddaughter. Dear Friends, We would like to thank you all for your prayers since our urgent request for Connie's sister, Linda on April 17 th. Thanks be to GOD, she made it through that first weekend when there was not much hope. There have been many ups and downs getting her system back up and working these past 2 months. Being moved from hospital care for the start of physical therapy and then back to ICU with heart and kidney issues. Three weeks ago she was moved to a long term acute center to address here medical issues including a possible ongoing dialysis schedule. After just 3 treatments, her kidneys seem to be functioning. At this point, no more dialysis is needed. At the end of this week, Linda will be moving to a skilled nursing facility in Swanton for physical therapy and rehab. There is still a lot of healing and physical therapy to get through, but with continued prayer and God's continued Grace, Linda's goal and hope is to return to her apartment and independent living.
