Page 2 of 13 Foreword While attending a UFO lecture some years ago - given by an aeronautical engineer I noticed that some of what was being said was not understood by various members of the audience, presumably due to their lack of basic metaphysical knowledge. It was for that reason that I decided to create a website that would give interesting metaphysical information, explained step by step so that total newcomers could follow and understand it. More recently I hit on the idea of encapsulating several popular subjects each in a freely distributable pdf ebook. It also dawned on me that if I printed them I could pass them around to anyone interested, and hope that over time these free offerings would circulate and encourage people to visit my website, and enter into discussion with me, or maybe have clubs, societies or groups of friends ask me to give talks on these things so that I could play some small part in spreading metaphysical and mystical knowledge to those who were curious but did not know how to start learning the fundamentals, or simply did not have access to the internet. For more than 30 years I have been a student of a quite advanced teacher who considered himself 'A Yorkshireman who calls a spade a spade!'. He has given some of the greatest lectures and seminars that I have ever had the privilege of attending, and subsequently I have made progress in my understanding far beyond that which I could have achieved on my own. Baker The Milky Way Galaxy The first part of this treatise is largely philosophical in that we are dealing with concepts for contemplation, rather than looking at the 'nuts and bolts' of how things form and operate. The reason why science, such that it is in these days cannot go beyond a certain point in understanding the universe, even though some think they are really getting to grips with it, is that often the approach is not correctly motivated. A little humility and respect has to be demonstrated rather than with false pride stating something akin to 'We are intelligent humans who are studying rock, gas and inanimate matter, which is of a lower order than we intelligent humans'. The rock and gas itself may well be of a lower order, but it is often being formed and used by invisible yet real conscious intelligence beyond our meagre comprehension. Actually some of that 'hot gas', in a star for instance forms part of the body of a Being that is so advanced that it makes us look like bacteria in comparison. There is order in the universe, nothing is ever random, or by chance, and we are one of the lowest forms of 'sentient life' not high in evolutionary status. Man on Earth is barely above the animals. Some so-called primitive peoples considered stars and planets as Gods and Goddesses, and have been put down by so-called educated man for it, whereas they were right they are Gods and Goddesses, not just inanimate matter. They are beings that are alive and have mental capabilities which we cannot begin to understand. They communicate with each other, as does 'The Mother Earth' with other planetary 'Logi' (plural for Logos) over immense distances, and to all intents and purposes instantaneously! When astronomers talk about the birth of new stars, or the death of old ones, sometimes in super-nova cataclysms we need to realise that we are dealing with highly advanced lifeforms who are undergoing mystical initiations far beyond anything we can as yet even begin to appreciate.

Page 4 of 13 The term Logos refers to the 'life force', or intelligence aspect of a planet, star or galaxy, and all life in this planetary system for example is supported second by second by that great aspect of 'God in manifestation' that we call The Sun or Solar Logos. This Logos with its 'children' the Planetary Logi, and the life on their surfaces are all supported by The Galactic Logos, which is also like a vast island of God in Manifestation, of which there are countless billions in The Universe. Every one of us at various stages will have our own personal initiations. One of these, referred to as attainment of Cosmic Consciousness is when we in Samadhic trance (deep meditation) not only realise but actually SEE for the first time that everything is God in Manifestation, and within this vast universal system there is nothing but GOD! Hence the statement that God is all powerful, all present, and all knowing, which can be simplified to GOD is ALL! Having said all this we now can start part two, and 'look' at this world around us, to get an idea of what it really is, within the context of 'manifestation. If we initially look at something which we consider ordinary, and quite real and physical, like the wooden desk or table in your office or home: Well, it certainly appears solid, but is it really? When I press my hand against it it seems an impenetrable barrier. And it feels smooth like glass too. Now in your mind's eye imagine that you can make yourself very, very tiny, and you are standing on that apparently smooth, solid surface, and look again... At this scale it is like an alien landscape with hills and valleys, which were far too small to feel normally: This image is not of wood, but it does give an idea of how there are tiny undulations we are not normally aware of. Again in our mind's eye reduce our size by a factor of many thousands, and look towards one of those distant 'wooden' mountains before us... what do we see now?
Basic principles of Manifestation. Page 5 of 13 The slopes of that mountain are beginning to look a little 'blotchy', not quite so continuous as we thought they were. If we look closely we can see that like a low-resolution photograph it is made up of many millions of little dots glowing in the distance: A Low Resolution photo and an electron microscope picture of atoms Each atom, of which there are millions per cubic centimetre, has a bright centre and a shimmering halo. We mentally now zoom in on one of those atoms to see it more closely. We notice that it is separated from its neighbours by 'apparently empty space', (which is a phrase we will encounter a few times in the following text). The halo is actually an area surrounding the bright centre (nucleus) which is mostly apparently empty space within which are tiny 'particles' called electrons whizzing round their orbits in different planes at a respectable velocity, and at different distances from the nucleus. The nucleus seems at this stage to be a single object, but again look closer, and no it isn't. It is a collection of particles much larger than electrons, and coming in two types, usually called protons and neutrons, separated by apparently empty space. Protons and neutrons are very similar in their make-up, and have only minor differences of 'energy charge'. Here is a very simple diagram showing these three types of particles in a simple atom such as hydrogen:
Basic principles of Manifestation. Page 6 of 13 So we now decide to look at a proton, remembering that neutrons are more or less the same in structure. The proton initially looks like a single object, but no it isn't. It appears to be three smaller objects which have become known as 'quarks'. It was a theoretical physicist Murray Gell-Mann who in 1963 coined this term, taking the word from the tale of 'Finnigan's wake'. The three quarks are separated by apparently empty space. Let's zoom in on a quark, it appears to be a single object, but look closer, no it's not. A quark is a collection of three smaller objects called by some omegons, but more than one hundred years ago by Annie Bessant and Bishop Charles W. Leadbeater as 'Ultimate Physical Atoms. Bessant and Leadbeater spent many years using a technique called 'Magnifying Clairvoyance' to psychically study the structure of matter, and compare their observations with the findings of the science of their day. Their observations were detailed in a book called Occult Chemistry, which was published in 1908 (long before 1963). An electron is a single U.P.A., which is why it is smaller than protons and neutrons which each contain nine in three groups of three. Here is an updated version of the diagram above showing this: So what is a U.P.A.? Let us look at something we are all familiar with first a permanent magnet:
Basic principles of Manifestation. Page 7 of 13 This is a representation of a bar magnet, around and through which are magnetic lines of force. If you lay a piece of paper over the top and sprinkle iron filings on it they will line up with the lines of force, and you can plainly see their shape, orientation, and how many of them there are. We, as human beings normally use our five basic senses to relate to the world around us. None of them (sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste) can detect that those lines of force are there, yet with a piece of metal or another magnet it is easy to demonstrate their presence. So never fall into the trap of saying, as so many people do If I can't see it, I don't believe it!, such a statement is totally devoid of logic, reason, knowledge, and is purely an emotional response to something that probably mentally worries them... If you can imagine that magnetic field unbelievably smaller, with no magnet-body in the middle, just the field itself, and in a state of very, very fast vibration, that is what in essence a U.P.A. is. It has a different pattern of lines of force, and comes in two 'flavours' which are mirror images of each other. These days we would call them positive and negative versions, but in late Victorian times Bessant and Leadbeater referred to them as male and female. Here is a drawing of the lines of force which form a U.P.A., based upon those observed and drawn by Leadbeater: The central portion of this 'field' is rather reminiscent of the DNA helix, and I often think it has some semblance to the human skeleton's spine and rib cage? There are ten lines of force which if you follow them you will see loop round, parallel to each other. Because it is an 'energy field' maybe a penny is starting to drop with you? To recap the 'solid wood' is made of atoms in apparently empty space, the sub-atomic particles are made of U.P.A.s separated by apparently empty space, The U.P.A.s themselves are energy fields which are purely 'fields of influence' in apparently empty space, so where is the substance that forms the wood? There isn't any! There never was! It is purely illusion! It appears solid to us because we are using bodies made of 'The same stuff!'

Page 8 of 13 Now you may be thinking 'Well, at least we have got as far as we can in smallness!', actually no we haven't, we have quite a way to go yet... that reminds me of the rhymes: Little dogs have little fleas upon their backs to bite 'em, and the little fleas have smaller fleas, and so on ad infinitum! Or Little dogs have little fleas upon their bodies growing, and the little fleas have smaller fleas without them ever knowing! It is not ad infinitum when going into smallness, but let's take the next step. If you look at the diagram of the U.P.A.s, at that scale the 'lines' seem to be singular, as the nucleus of the atom seemed to be a single object. Actually each one of those ten is a 'bundle' of seven, wrapped around each other, each in the form of a helix (coil) but with different sized loops. One has the largest loops, and has a second one wrapped around it. The third is smaller again and is wrapped around the second, and so on for seven, Here is another diagram showing the first three lines, but after that it is too complex to draw: Leadbeater took the trouble to count the number of loops (spirillae) on each line, but the lines are not continuous they are strings of bubbles running into the millions per U.P.A. They are incidentally separated by apparently empty space... (you probably guessed that?) The bubbles are as small as we will be going in this book. But a new question now arises If they are bubbles, what are they bubbles in? Can we have bubbles in nothing, or are they in a medium of some kind? The next page will answer this!
Basic principles of Manifestation. Page 9 of 13 You have probably heard of the four elements of the alchemist Earth, Air, Fire and Water? Well the missing 5 th element is Ether. Up to even later Victorian times ether was a part of 'science', but so-called educated men took it out, saying that it belonged in the dark ages. Now they have to swallow their pride as it is being reintroduced. Here is yet another diagram showing a representation of how the five elements are interrelated: Ether not only fills the universe but it is the only thing that exists in it, and matter is nothing but collections of bubbles held in specific patterns of motion. One mystery that has baffled scientists in recent times is that so-called empty space has been described as a vacuum, yet instinct tells us that this cannot be the case. The seasoned metaphysical student knows that 'A vacuum yearns to be filled', and indeed it does. Ether is very much like a higher octave of water in that left to itself it just 'sits' there with no apparent motion, yet it can be made to vibrate and flow like currents under the sea. Radiating pressure waves can spread out in ripple fashion, and this is what the electro-magnetic spectrum is, categorised by frequency into such divisions as light and radio waves. With the right type of influence the ether can vibrate without its movements spreading outwards, but remaining in a specific locality and pattern, and this is what happens with the field of a permanent magnet, or in the lines of force of U.P.A.s. Ripples can spread out in both water and ether

Page 10 of 13 Under the right conditions bubbles form along the lines of pressure difference, like the contours of a weather map, and hence we have the bubbles in a U.P.A. forming atoms, molecules and in living organisms cells. Now we come to another logical question If ether will not of itself move or vibrate, then what causes it to do so? There is only one influence that can be brought to bear that will cause ether to move in some way, and that is WILL power, the power of WILL, exerted by non-physical consciousness, or SPIRIT. We now need to substitute another name for ether to continue the explanation. The name we will now use is MIND. Here again we have that situation where 'science' has had difficulty understanding the relationship between the brain, mind, and consciousness. Well, it is explained simply here consciousness in its highest state does not need matter to exist, but exists as a 'state of awareness' outside of manifestation, and this is what some call Spirit, as mentioned above. Spirit uses Will power to cause Mind (ether) to move and carry vibrations over short or longer distances within the manifested universe. A living organism like Man for example has a brain, which aswell as being an organic computer, is a sort of 'mental radio receiver' which can detect these vibrations in a similar way that your tv picks up radio signals and internally decodes them to give a picture and sound. We pick up thoughts, and also using our will power transmit them back into mind (ether). This is what telepathy is. It may have already dawned but 'in the beginning' that single creative source that some call God 'visualised' this universe into being, and it is a vast visualisation, or 'thought form' in the mind of God. This is why when one looks into the true nature of matter one discovers that there is no actual substance, only the illusion of matter. Because we on this planet are (compared with other races outside of Earth) quite limited in our intelligence and mental capacity, in the 1950s this mechanism of manifestation was described by what are often called Cosmic Masters, through the yogic mediumship of Sir George King, and put into a neat phrase which ties it all together in an understandable way. I will include that phrase in a moment, but I need to make a couple of side comments here in preparation. Dear old Albert Einstein spent many years of his life trying to mathematically calculate what 'the fourth dimension' might be. No maths are required to get the basic idea, it is extremely simple: we live in a world of three geo-spacial dimensions length, breadth and height. The mind / ether within these change through time, therefore TIME is the fourth dimension, and no debate is necessary. The phrase that mankind has been given through the compassion of Sir George King gives us the SEVEN basic dimensions within which we all exist on this Earth, and the phrase refers to them in reverse order... I capitalise them for clarification: WILL imposes those conditions upon MIND which bring its potential into manifestation as DIRECTED MOTION in a TIME frame of LENGTH, BREADTH and HEIGHT.... and it really is that simple!
Basic principles of Manifestation. Page 11 of 13 God, the One creative source, not only visualised this manifested universe, but projected aspects of itself into its own visualisation. This can be imagined, though somewhat crudely, like the tendrils hanging beneath a jelly fish. God put forth billions upon quadrillions of tendrils of consciousness into the universal thought form, and every one of us is at the tip of one of these tendrils (so to speak). Within our set of physical bodies this has manifested as the Antahkarana the subtle pathway up and down which our consciousness flows between our various bodies. I will be dealing with these in the next ebook, which will be Basic Principles of Reincarnation. However to wet the appetite I include one of the diagrams to be used in that ebook, which relates to the bodies of Man, and his true connection with God:

Page 12 of 13 The next aspect of manifestation to be commented on is that when mind (ether) is caused to move in any way two by-products ALWAYS manifest too, there are no exceptions to this! One is LIGHT, and the other is SOUND. Light, sound and motion are always inseparable, no two can exist without the third. When you speak the air compression waves have light associated with them, even if they do not occur in the visible light spectrum. The sunlight coming through the window and the artificial light from your desk lamp are both producing sound, even though it may not be within our hearing range. This has been related in the Biblical Creation account. Before the mind / ether was set in motion there was no light and sound, therefore the waters (water-like ether / mind) were without form and void. And then God said Let there be light, or 'let there be motion' (of the ether / mind), producing light. In John it states In the beginning was The Word The Word being Man's vocalisation of the sound produced by what scientists call 'Solar wind' coming from (or more correctly - through) The Sun. In Samadhic trance it is quite possible to hear this sound, which lasts for 32 minutes, and repeats in a pattern of 5 times every 160 minutes, 9 times every 24 hours. I am not writing this to preach religion, but the journey into spirituality is where we are all going, even if kicking and screaming ha ha! I will now describe an aspect of the creation of The Solar System, which has existed in Christian doctrine, but is very rarely taught as you will read it here! The Solar Logos, as mentioned earlier, is the nearest thing to God in our concept of manifestation according to The Master Jesus. The Spirit, or non-physical consciousness of that Logos brought this planetary system into being in order to provide the planetary Logi, and the life on their surfaces (such as us) with valuable experience. At the initial stage of this the Solar Logos, not yet itself manifested but as 'a point of consciousness' (a point because it has no dimensions when not manifested) visualised around itself its area of immediate influence The Sun's House, which is actually a sphere, but when drawn in two dimensions is a circle. This is why the astrological glyph for the Sun is a circle with a dot in the middle. It then sent forth a ripple of WILL power across that circle to instil into the ether / mind necessary vibrations, forming the thought forms, which would later manifest as what we call the physical planets. At this stage the planets are not yet physically manifested, yet already exist as potential. So within this circle we now have a vast 'sea of virgin matter' - virgin because it is not yet manifested, like a potential mother who has not yet conceived. The latin word for sea is mare (marr-ray). So we have the virgin sea the virgin mare, or Virgin Mary. The Solar Logos then started sending out the prana / chi / ki or 'universal life forces' which is the basis of solar wind. Some of this energy became caught up in the thought forms of the virgin matter, and it is this energy which we see as matter, held by the WILL of The Solar Logos. In the universe there are two primary creative forces MALE, POSITIVE CREATIVE pranas / chi, and FEMALE NEGATIVE PRESERVATIVE Love energy. Creativity is therefore usually associated with the male, like a father. That which is created is often referred to like a male child or son. So this planetary system came into being as a result of the Spirit (Holy Ghost) or non-physical consciousness of The Sun, and the sea of virgin matter. Or to put it another way: THE SON IS INCARNATE OF THE HOLY GHOST AND THE VIRGIN MARY!
