ASSEMBLIES OF GOD THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY Fall, 2003 COURSE DESCRIPTION COURSE SYLLABUS The essentials of the Hebrew of the Old Testament with an emphasis on grammar. Most of the basic grammar is covered in IA. This course along with IB will equip the student to begin to use the Hebrew language tools in exegesis of the Hebrew text. OBJECTIVES Upon the successful completion of this course the student should be able to: 1. Explain the basic grammatical features of the Hebrew language and pronounce it on sight. 2. This will be practiced in class orally and then by quizzes and exams. COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Page 3 Class attendance is expected; maximum allowable absences is four (4) class periods. Please talk to the professor about your absences. 1. Be prepared each day to answer questions orally on the lessons including pronouncing the Hebrew. 2. Write the quizzes and exams on the scheduled dates. Late Work Work completed after the class it was due may be credited for less than full credit at the professor s discretion.
