Words of Remembrance Maria Gigliotti A Life in Pictures Que Sera Sera Doris Day Opening Prayer Fr Pompeyo Tan 1 st Reading 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 Thais Barbisan Love is always patient and kind; love is never jealous; love is not boastful or conceited; it is never rude and never seeks its own advantages, it does not take offence or store up grievances. Love does not rejoice at wrong doing, but finds its joy in the truth. It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and endure whatever comes. Love never comes to an end. This is the word of the Lord All: Thanks be to God
Psalm 22 Jessie-Lee Gigliotti The Lord is my shepherd; There is nothing I shall want. Fresh and green are the pastures where he gives me repose. Near restful waters he leads me, to revive my drooping spirit. Response: The Lord is My shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. He guides me along the right path; he is true to his name. If I shall walk in the valley of darkness no evil would I fear. You are there with your crook and your staff; with those you give me comfort. Response: The Lord is My shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. You have prepared a banquet for me in the sight of my foes. My head you have anointed with oil; My cup is overflowing. Response: The Lord is My shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life; In the Lord s own house shall I dwell for ever and ever. Response: The Lord is My shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
Gospel Acclamation All: Alleluia, Alleluia! Happy are they who die in the lord. Let them rest from their work, for their good deeds go with them. Alleluia! Gospel Reading - Luke 12: 22-31 Fr Pompeyo Tan A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke All: Glory to you O Lord. Then Jesus said to his disciples: Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: They neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn; and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest? Consider the lillies, how they grow: They neither toll nor spin; Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you you of little faith! And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying. For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead strive for his Kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
