OUR MISSION STATEMENT As followers of Jesus Christ, our mission is to - worship together as a community of faith, - invite everyone to share the gift of God s love, - nurture each other in the faith, - serve others in the spirit of Christ, and - proclaim His way of peace, justice and reconciliation. PEACE LAMP The prayer lamp at the front of the sanctuary is a reminder for us to pray for peace. May the burning of this lamp, and the prayers of our hearts, be pleasing to God as God calls us to be people of light, of hope, of resurrection. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. CHILDCARE Jody & Leslie Hadley will provide care today during worship for children 3 and under. Next week Chris Graber & Pam Schmidt will be responsible. Today, our focus is on the baptism of Jesus. Do you remember when you were baptized? What did it mean to you? What was the commitment you made? Where did it happen? Who was there to witness this special moment in your spiritual journey? Next Sunday: The temptation of Jesus; see Mark 1:12-13.
