GROUPS SECONDBAPTISTCHURCH SUNDAY MORNINGS We exist to glorify God by making disciples through the Bible and relationships.
SUNDAY 9:30AM Morning worship service for all ages, held in the Auditorium. This service typically lasts 60 minutes. A full choir, orchestra and praise team lead the music, singing a blend of traditional hymns and modern praise and worship songs. The teaching is always Biblically-based, with a mix of verse-by-verse and topical teaching styles, focusing on what the Bible has to say about how we are to live our lives as disciples of Jesus. SUNDAY 11:00AM A laid-back, come as you are service, held in the Auditorium for all ages. This service typically lasts 60 minutes. A praise band leads the music, singing a blend of modern and traditional hymns, as well as current praise and worship songs. CONNECT PRESCHOOL Birth - PreK: Bible Based, child-centered, activityoriented teaching; designed to lay a spiritual foundation. CHILDREN Students Kindergarten-5th grade gather for Second Generation: large group worship/drama and small group application of spiritual truths from God s Word. STUDENTS Students 6th-12th grade gather Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings to become fully-devoted disciples of Christ. Activities include camps, serving opportunities and fun events. COLLEGE The Vine meets on Sunday mornings at Second Baptist in the Basement. They also meet during the week at MSU and Drury along with small groups that meet in host homes. ADULTS Many small groups of young adults, married, single and mixed, meet on Sundays for Bible study and fellowship. FOLLOW US: secondbaptist417 Second Baptist Church - Springfield MO WOMEN Ladies have the opportunity to gather, connect, be grounded in the Truth, be refreshed, and serve others through Bible studies, special events and conferences. MEN Men connect and build relationships through Wednesday morning Bible study and accountability, special events, and engaging in service projects that provide relief for people in need. SECOND HALF Baby Boomers and Beyond connect and serve through monthly meetings, banquets, and serving our local community. CREATIVE MEDIA There are many areas to serve: Volunteer positions in video, audio and graphics are available for Sunday services and special events as we spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth. MISSIONS Focused on mobilizing disciple-makers and preparing, training, and sending out the next generation of missionaries, with an emphasis on least-reached people groups and local community service. WORSHIP Lead God s people in meaningful corporate worship: Choir, Praise Band, Orchestra, and Handbell Choir.
