Thank you for using your talents to bless MRC! Next Sunday at MRC 9:30 AM Worship led by Pastor Ross Work Psalm 127 5:30 PM Worship led by Rev. Carl Klompien Church Family Prayer Please keep Joyce Groen in your prayers as she was recently moved to Pleasant Acres in Hull for therapy. Pray for her as she continues to heal & gain strength. Continue to pray for Isaac Schmidt. Isaac was able to get back on track with treatments this week. He will have an appointment on Tuesday for chemo again, so we pray that he will continue to experience minimal side effects and that the whole family will be able to remain healthy. Continued prayers for Perry Dykstra as he recovers from hip surgery. Pray for strength and patience for him and that the recovery goes smoothly. We pray for Kimi Leusink s dad, Glenn, as he recently had cornea surgery. We are grateful that the surgery went well but we continue to pray for healing and comfort for him as he still has a long road ahead of him. Continued prayers for Denny VO, Brent DK, Ruth H, and Val D.

Faith Bible Study will be meeting this Monday at 7 pm in the Fireside Room. Cindy Van Der Weide will be leading and Linda Zevenbergen will be the hostess. October is Staff Appreciation Month! There is a basket on the information table for everyone to place their cards for the staff. We would like to see so many cards of appreciation that the basket is overflowing every week. The staff puts in a lot of hours to keep all areas of our church running, so let s show our appreciation with a card and possibly a small token of your appreciation. Staff Relations Team The MRC cropland has been harvested as corn silage for a total income of $33,394.12. It yielded 226 bushels per acre. Have YOU signed up to volunteer at the Harvest Supper?! Be sure to stop at the sign up table in the fellowship hall & sign up to work and/or bring food for the Harvest Supper, which will be on Wednesday, November 7 from 5:00-7:00. Hey Kids, this is our third week we are working on our mission offering in Sunday School! Have you been earning money to help others? I moustache you a question.. How many bears can we purchase for others kids today? Last week we had enough money to purchase 12 more bears! That s 24 bears total so far! WAY TO GO! Be sure to bring your offering to Sunday School! There will be a mustache bag on the info table during Sunday school for anyone who wishes to donate! It s that time of year for Children & Worship to begin! We are looking for teachers as well as helpers! If you are willing to help with our 3 and 4 year old children, please sign up at the information table! We will begin as soon as we have enough volunteers! Bonnie would be happy to visit with you if you have any questions! Thank you. Only 10 days until our annual Pioneer Club Harvest/Pal Party! We need your help! Would you be willing to do a trunk for the Trunk or Treat part of our party? The kids LOVE this part and the adults have a lot of fun doing it! So call a friend, neighbor, Life Group, or just have your spouse help you! Have fun while blessing our kids at Pioneer Club! Sign up and see you at 6:20 on October 31. We will have all cars park on the north side of the church (there will be someone out there to direct you). If your child will not be attending Pioneer Club on October 31 for the Harvest Party, please be sure to tell their pal! If a pal is unable to attend on October 31, please let Vicki Schrock or Bonnie Wolf know. Thanks in advance! Any questions, please call Bonnie at 567-4665. NEEDED: Nursery attendants for October 31 from 6:15-7:30. Please let Bonnie know soon if this would work for you! Thanks! With your help, we were able to raise over $4,000, which is incredible! Because of this, we will be able to reduce costs of Power Connection next summer, making it much more manageable in cost. Thank you all for those who purchased subs, helped assemble, sold them, or donated to make this another successful fundraiser. It is a blessing to have a church support its youth in this way! We are excited for all that God is doing, will do, and for all that we will experience at Power Connection next summer. - Jon Eveland Harvest Party Wednesday, October 24, 6:30-8:00 pm Our annual Harvest Party for Jr. GAP & Sr. High students is THIS WEEK! Sr. High Summer International Mission Trip July 13-20 Eaglecrest Alaska Missions We are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Eaglecrest Alaska Missions (Sutton, Alaska) for our summer mission trip (July 13-20). Though it is not international per se, it is a great distance away, and not part of the lower 48 states and there is great need in the Sutton community for us to come, serve those in need and experience the love of Christ in a much different culture than our own! More information will be coming at a later date, but mark this on your calendars for next summer. We hope to take as many Sr. High students as we can! Live Travelling Nativity - December 8-9 - Keep these dates on your radar as Sr. High will again be sharing the story of the birth of Jesus! A big thank you to Jerry Vermeer, Marissa Maassen, Kari Van Klompenburg, Tracy Cleveringa, Steve Leusink and Lee Maassen as they were on the committee that took care of getting this ministry moving forward. Their goal was to double the participation of this ministry and they have achieved that goal with 216 people involved in "Life Groups". Bob C. closed this report with a prayer of praise.
