COUNCIL LIFE Pope Pius XII Council 4422, 18th District St. Raphael s Parish DECEMBER 2015 www.kofc4422.org GRAND KNIGHTS MESSAGE Dear Brother Knights, I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. I want to thank everyone who helped out on Saturday, November 28th in setting up the Nativity scene at Veteran s Memorial Park and the Keep Christ in Christmas sign in front of the old St. Raphael s Church. A special thanks to Tom Prykuta, Al Swiderski, Tom Donovan, Al Clancy, Joe Iannone, Don Hoeffner, Fred Schrotz. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year when we celebrate faith, family, and the tradition of giving gifts and sending greetings. A Christmas greeting is an easy way to reach friends, family, and even old acquaintances with the warmth and love of the Christmas spirit. Send a Christmas message to your friends and show them you care and that you are thinking of them during this time. May you always stay blessed in life and may the love and prosperity of Christ's birth bring peace in your life today and forever in time. Have a great holiday season. Merry Christmas! Vivat Jesus!!! Grand Knight

We were able to offer free cakes and cookies to all 4 th Degree members who attended. There was also a hot repast served by our famous food crew that contained five hot serving trays plus a large salad bowl with extra tomatoes and onions. This was topped off with various beverages and coffee. For those 4 th Degree members who did not attend, I can only say You missed a great meeting night. The Navigator held the meeting to less than an hour, so there was plenty of time for camaraderie. Thanks go out to SK John Devany for obtaining the cakes and cookies as well as to John Sarubbi and his food crew for a really great job. Because of an unexpected event at the church, the parking lot in the back was full and SK Al Swiderski acted as traffic director to get our Sir Knights to park in front of the school. We are fortunate to have Pope Pius XII members that volunteer their time and effort. Every Knight Should Be A Sir Knight. To learn about the Fourth Degree, you can come to one of our Council meetings, to get that information, or contact me. Joe Zink
