I N S I D E T H I S I S S U E : Birthdays 2 Families in Need of Prayer 2 Brothers. On July 18th we had our installation of officers. Thanks to all our members and wives who attended and thanks to Fr. Juan and Omar Galvan for coming as well! It's always a special time when they can make it out with us. And also a BIG thank you to the guys that prepared our main course! Art and Waylon you and your group always do a great job! And the rest of you, and your wives- Thank you for all the great side dishes that were enjoyed! Everyone brings such delicious food!! I feel so honored to be selected as your Grand Knight!! Thank you very much. And I want to thank each and every member who has taken a position as officer or chairman to help us continue as Knights of Columbus! As I was standing with my Brothers in the form of the cross, I was humbled to think that I am- that WE are part of such a great organization. Not only because of the our faith base, but an organization that has the interest of each and every one of us at heart, including our families. An organization who's founder had as much foresight as the founders of our Great country. We are looking into ways save money. We are all aware that this is something that really needs to be done. There are several things in and around the Hall as well as the Acres that need attention so for at least a while we are going to have to tighten our belts. One of the things we are going to do is stop the mailing out of our monthly bulletin. This will stop at the end of 2018. Starting in January 2019 we will begin to email the bulletin to everyone who gives us an email address. So PLEASE SEND US YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. We want you to continue to get your bulletin. We feel that this will not only save us money, but everyone will receive the bulletin at the same time and less work will have to be done. IF you have no way of receiving the bulletin, when you come to the meetings, ask and we can print out a copy. We will have some available at the first couple meetings for that purpose. Last month we had out Fourth of July picnic, and again all there had a very good time. The weather was pretty warm sure- but, with all the shade we have and the breeze, it really wasn't so bad. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this year's event so enjoyable!! The food was great, the acres looked great, the weather... well what can we say there- it's July. All in all it was another wonderful celebration! Thank you all once again for allowing me to be your Grand Knight!
