Strengths ~ Our Parishioners ~ Parishioners varieties of experiences, skills, talents and abilities ~ Clergy and Staff willingness ~ One true faith ~ Offer a variety of ministries ~ Our diverse buildings and facilities ~ Annunciation Day School is the only accredited Orthodox School in the Southeast ~ Greek Festival shares culture
Weaknesses ~ We do not understand our faith or its importance ~ We do not know what our Youth and Emerging adults need or want ~ We do not fulfill our responsibility to evangelize and teach our faith ~ Our Sunday experience is not as great as it should be engagement in services, welcoming, intimacy and facilities access and appearance ~We are not welcoming in all we do and fully engage our parishioners ~We have a lack of understanding and practice of full stewardship (time, talents and treasure) ~Communications do not reach all demographics
Opportunities ~ Leverage partnerships with other non- profits, Christian and other Orthodox churches, other private schools ~ Evangelization to all ~ Strategic and tactical communications and marketing the church and Orthodox brand ~ Community service ~Expanded use of all technologies
Threats ~ More attractive religious, social and service options ~ Living in a secular world diminishes the importance of religion ~ Religion is perceived as divisive ~ Church is not as big a priority in parishioners lives ~ People are defining their own morality and not respecting the definitions established by the Church ~ Declining moral values in society and culture ~ Secular messaging is stronger than religious messaging ~Other religious groups are doing a better job of messaging ~ Traffic
