FAITHFUL UMW Autumn Brunch LAKESIDE CROS WALKERS 2017! CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF JOSEPH By Adam Hamilton He started his journey as an unknown carpenter, but Joseph became the earthly father of Jesus. For his part in the nativity story, he faced a situation much like our own-- encountering life circumstances he didn't choose or understand. In Faithful, Hamilton encourages readers to follow Joseph's example during this Advent and Christmas season, and exchange doubt for courage as we learn to accept and glorify God's will. Our Advent Study Wednesday, November 29th at 7 PM.

All Saints (November 1 or the first Sunday in November) is a day of remembrance for the saints, with the New Testament meaning of all Christian people of every time and place. We celebrate the communion of saints as we remember the dead, both of the Church universal and of our local congregations. For this reason, the names of persons in the congregation who have died during the past year may be solemnly read. If you have anyone you would like to have read (Immediate family, like mom, dad, sister, brother, or grand-parents) please give the name to Carolyn by Tuesday, October 31st.

Dear Lakeside UMC, Thank you for opening your doors for our community health screening in your community. It is because of your generosity that Life Line Screening continues to be able to bring these health screenings into your area and for that, we are very appreciative. We look forward to working together again! We appreciate all your help and support with hosting this community outreach event. Sincerely, Barbara Church, Life Line Screening Dear Friends at Lakeside, You are definitely on target concerning needs after hurricane Irma. Thank you so much for your generosity. We are slowly re-stocking the pantry and freezers. We are so thankful that re-stocking is our only concern; so many areas were hit so much harder than us. We are blest to have friends like all of you. We pray for all of your personal concerns as well as the church s needs. Love and prayer always, Sister Chris and Sister Jean Servants of the Great I Am Lakeside UMC, I am so blessed to have stepped into Lakeside UMC. I do not take the privilege of standing in the pulpit lightly and continue thanking you for the opportunities to share God s Word with you. While visiting your church I have experienced your grace and it humbles me. The heart of Lakeside is in each one of you and the love you exhibit to anyone who walks in your doors. I cannot thank you enough for the gift you presented me with Sunday. It was a surprise and completely unexpected. I have been questioning whether God wanted me to continue with seminary as the obstacles have been great. You provided the confirmation to keep my head up and to preserve-he will provide. Thank you from as deep in my heart as I can go! Under His Infinite Grace and Mercy, Liz Haley
