Minutes of the February 5, 2014 Meeting Date: 1/8/14 Call to order: 7:30 P.M. by President Jay Morrissey Pledge of Allegiance was led by: Jay Morrissey Guests Present: Cindy Ginger, Robert Maher, & Pete???. Recognize Please stand: Past EE Presidents: Martin Hoxworth, David Skelton, Duane Duncan, Randy Eldridge, Larry Hoffman, Joe Zapata, Mark Mahoney, Steve Pavich, and Sherrie Larson. Current EE s of the Year: Joe Spychaj absent Past EE s of the Year: Martin Hoxworth, Jo Darrow, Larry Hoffman, Pete Doeringer, Randy Eldridge, Bill Catlin, Alex Gonzalez, Mark Mahoney, Steve Pavich, Sherrie Larson, Eileen Rasmussen, and Jim Young. Secretary s report by Jim Young: January s minutes were announced as printed in the February Newsletter sent out and on the web site. No additions or corrections to the minutes were brought up. The minutes were approved as written. Treasurer s report by Eileen Rasmussen: Monthly Treasurer s Report as of February 1, 2014 was read and approved as read. Vice President s report by Gary Westmyer: Gary reported progress. General Reports: General Wagon Master report by Ken Moody: Ken announced that the Halloween Rally will be held at the Lodge this year. Pete Haak said everyone had a great time on the Woods Valley Campout. He thanked Ed and Gloria Sauer for their assistance, John Poat for being a great Sheriff, and Ken Moody for the use of his really big barbeque! Pete added that the campers collected $85 for the purple pig! Joyce Clausen announced that they have 33 rigs signed up already for the Lake Elsinore trip February 22nd throught the 24th. Greedy for more campers yet, she passed around the signup sheet for any more campers that would like to attend. Mark Mahoney reviewed Do It In The Dirt coming up in March on the 13th through the 16th. Only 4,996 spaces still available and those are going fast. The semi annual Poker Run is now forever named the Nicole Hoffman Memorial Poker Run in honor of Larry s granddaughter who had enjoyed participating in the event and recently passed away. 2 See Minutes cont d page 3

Minutes cont d from page 2 Jay Morrissey spoke of the March 28 30 campout at Newport Dunes. The event is hosted by himself, the Tucker s, and the Poat s. There are 50 sites reserved at $38 per night. The wagon masters will only collect for Friday & Saturday nights camping, so make sure early arrivals stop at the office to pay. Jay will give the office your space assignments. Friday night dinner will be The Taco Guy and Saturday will be cook ur own meat. There will be the usual games to entertain us all. ER Getaway coming up February 7,8, & 9th. 2. Sunday Brunch 2/9/14 Cancelled due to ER Getaway. 3. Saturday, February 15th Garden Grove Lodge Sweet Heart Dance. Communications Received / General Announcements: Doug Deroxas ( Pineapple ) stood up before the membership to introduce himself and ask for the Elk Enders to vote for him as 5 Year Trustee in the upcoming Lodge elections. Randy Eldridge further asked for our votes for himself as Exalted Ruler and for Mark Mahoney as Lecturing Knight. Lodge elections will be held Thursday, February 20th, 2014. Sickness and Distress by Linda Mosbrook: Linda reported Gary Westmyer was in the hospital, but now home and is at the meeting tonight. Gretchen Doeringer has completed her radiation treatments and is doing well. Janice Eldridge s son in law s mother recently passed away. Judy Cooper, PER Ron Cooper s wife, is going to the hospital for tests. Sunshine: Report from general membership: Reggie Brown continues to improve and is at the meeting tonight. Unfinished Business: Larry Hoffman of the Nominating Committee announced the slate of Officers for the 2014 15 Elk Enders year of Ken Moody for President, Larry Lamkins for Vice President, Eileen Rasmussen for Treasurer, Linda Mosbrook for Corresponding Secretary, and Jim Young #356 for Recording Secretary. As the nominees were running unopposed, Larry moved that as the nominees were running unopposed they be unanimously elected to their respective offices. The motion was seconded and the motion was unanimously passed. See Minutes cont d page 4 3

The Inaugural Ball is scheduled for April 5, 2014. Jokes: Jokes were told by Larry Hoffman, Linda Mosbrook, and Al Reed. Good of the order by Vice President Gary Westmyer: Chuck O Dey was absent in the Trustee s meeting to miss the $134.50 grand prize. Larry Hoffman graciously claimed the consolation prize of $34.50.
