August 2, 2018 Volume 5: Issue 15 Greetings! New Sunday Schedule Begins August 26 I'm very excited to remind you that we will begin a new worship schedule as we enter the fall season and a new school year. Beginning on Sunday, August 26 our Sunday morning schedule will be as follows: 7:45-8:30 Chapel Worship (early-morning, informal) 9:00-10:00 Sanctuary Worship (traditional, organ, choir) 10:10-11:10 Sunday School for All Ages 11:15-12:15 Kindling Worship (band-led music, informal, family-friendly) As we approach this new schedule, be on the look out for some new discipleship opportunities to arise during our Sunday School hour. As you remember, this was the driving force behind making a change in our schedule, so that we will have a full hour for discipleship time each week. Thanks again for your valuable feedback and support as we seek to make the shift from a focus on Membership to Discipleship. Blessings in Christ, Pastor David Rittgers Noteworthy News SHIFT Training Our paid Staff Team and Ministry Support Team have been reading Phil Maynard's book, "SHIFT: Helping Congregations Back into the Game of Effective Ministry" and are planning to engage the process further by attending Shift training sessions that are being held at Trinity. However, we are inviting anyone from the congregation who would like to learn more about this to attend. Our first training session is this Saturday, August 4, hosted here at Trinity UMC. If you have interest, please contact me, Pastor David, at trinitypastordavid@gmail.com or speak to me in person.
