DAY 2 Yangon Bago Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda Kanbawza Thadi Palace Shwethalyaung Buddha Kyaikpun Pagoda Kyauktaw Gyi Buddha Image Kaba Aye Pagoda Shwedagon Pagoda Morning Breakfast at hotel. 08.30 hr After breakfast, direct to Bago (Hongsawaddy) (1.30 hour). On the way, We will pass Htaukkyant World War II Cemetery where 27,000 allied soldiers who had perished during the Second World War were buried. Visit an over 1200 year-old, and most sacred Pagoda in Bago, Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda. It was reconstructed with 125 meters high, after being ruined by the earthquake in 1930. Then visit Kanbawza Thadi Palace, the palace site of King Bayinnaung who is the founder of Myanmar 2nd Dynasty. Noon Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon Visit Shwethalyaung Buddha, a huge reclining Buddha built during 9th century and Mons weaving village. Visit Kyaikpun Pagoda, it is not a pagoda, in true sense of the word, but rather a "temple" comprising huge four images of different Buddhas facing the cardinal directions. They sit back to back against a massive brick pillar. They represent Gautama (North), Konagamana (South), Kakusandha (East) and Kassapa (West). Return to Yangon, on the ways visit Kyauktaw Gyi Buddha Image (world largest marble image) and white elephants. Visit to Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda; Mahapassana Cave where the Buddhist Synods are held. 17.30 hr Visit Shwedagon Pagoda, a spectacular golden sacred memorial, which was established more than 2,500 years ago and preserving eight pieces of the Buddha s
hair buried deep under its base. The pure golden top of the pagoda where was decorated by donated jewelry, including diamonds, is a highlight of this holy place, especially in the night time. Kyauk Htatgyi Buddha Bogyoke Market Yangon Bangkok Morning Breakfast at hotel 08.30 hr Visit Kyauk Htatgyi Reclining Buddha, where features a beautiful reclining Buddha image 70m long in the pose of rest. This unique Buddha image was built with untraditional method of Buddha construction. The face complimented with big beautiful 1.52 meters long glass eyes and outstanding eyelash, can be an example.
