This is our last Choral Mass of the Spring Season, so please make a special effort to join us! The Sacred Music program here at Mater Ecclesiae, is truly unique: it keeps alive a treasury of Catholic Music which is rarely, if ever, heard in the Church today. Thank you once again to all of the musicians, donors and parishioners who make this possible. The beauty and rich tradition of centuries of Sacred Music live on here at our little parish! at that time Jesus said to His disciples: All power is given to Me in heaven and on earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. Matthew 28, 18-20

Father s Day Spiritual Bouquet Mass Cards Give a spiritual gift for Father s Day, or a loving Memorial Remembrance. Father s Day Spiritual Bouquet Mass Cards are available in the Narthex. The Mass Intentions will be placed before the statue of Saint Joseph on the Altar for Father s Day. Scutum Fidei" (a Latin phrase meaning "Shield of the Faith") This weekend on Trinity Sunday, we recite the Athanasian Creed. The diagrams above vividly illustrate the teaching of Catholic Doctrine of the Holy Trinity by St. Athanasius from the Nicean Council in 325 AD:...there are not three almightys, but one almighty: thus the Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God; and nevertheless there are not three gods, but there is ONE GOD. ENEDÍCTA sit sancta Trinitas, atque indivisa únitas: confitébimur ei, quia fecit nobíscum misericórdiam suam. Dómine Dóminus noster, quam admirábile est nomen tuum in univérsa terra. Gloria Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sæcula sæculórum. What is the outward sign in the Sacrament of Matrimony, and in what does the whole essence of the marriage contract consist? A. The outward sign in the Sacrament of matrimony is the mutual consent of the persons, expressed by words or signs in accordance with the laws of the Church. The whole essence of the marriage contract consists in the surrender by the persons of their bodies to each other and in declaring by word or sign that they make this surrender and take each other for husband and wife now and for life. Q. 1010. What are the chief ends of the Sacrament of Matrimony? A. The chief ends of the Sacrament of matrimony are: 1. To enable the husband and wife to aid each other in securing the salvation of their souls; 2. To propagate or keep up the existence of the human race by bringing children into the world to serve God; 3. To prevent sins against the holy virtue of purity by faithfully obeying the laws of the marriage state.
