Sing now with voices raised to Jesus; Sing to the King. For His returning we watch and we pray; We will be ready the dawn of that day. We ll join in singing with all the re deemed, cause Satan is vanquished and Jesus is King. Come let us sing a song, A song declaring that we belong to Jesus; He s all we need. Lift up a heart of praise. Sing now with voices raised to Jesus; Sing to the King. Words Of Confession And Forgiveness P: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. P: Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

P: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Silence for reflection and self-examination. P: Most merciful God, C: we confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen. P: Almighty God, in his mercy, has given his Son to die for us and, for his sake, forgives us all our sins. In the name of Jesus Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The Greeting P: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. C: And also with you. Kyrie ~ p. 78 LBW~ Sung A: In peace, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. A: For the peace from above, and for our salvation, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. A: For the peace of the whole world, for the well-being of the Church of God, and for the unity of all, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. A: For this holy house, and for all who offer here their worship and praise, let us pray to the Lord. C: Lord, have mercy. A: Help, save, comfort, and defend us, gracious Lord.

This is the feast of victory for our God. Alleluia. Worthy is Christ, the Lamb who was slain, whose blood set us free to be people of God. Power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and blessing and glory are his. This is the feast of victory for our God, Alleluia. Sing with all Hymn Of Praise ~ page 81, LBW This Is the Feast Prayer Of The Day P: The Lord be with you. C: And also with you. P: Let us pray: Almighty, eternal God, your kindness is far more than we desire or deserve. Generously pour out your mercy to forgive where our conscience is afraid and to provide that for which by ourselves, we do not even presume to pray; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Please Sit the people of God and join in the hymn of all creation: Blessing and honor and glory and might be to God and the Lamb forever. Amen. This is the feast of victory for our God, for the Lamb who was slain has begun his reign. Alleluia. Alleluia. First Reading: Isaiah 55: 1 5 1 Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. 3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David. 4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples. 5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and

a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you. R: The Word of the Lord. C: Thanks be to God. Psalm 136: 1 9 1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods, for his mercy endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his mercy endures forever. 4 Who only does great wonders, for his mercy endures forever; 5 Who by wisdom made the heavens, for his mercy endures forever; 6 Who spread out the earth upon the waters, for his mercy endures forever; 7 Who created great lights, for his mercy endures forever; 8 The sun to rule the day for his mercy endures forever; 9 The moon and the stars to govern the night, for his mercy endures forever. Second Reading: Romans 9: 1 5, [6 13] 1 I am speaking the truth in Christ I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. 4 They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen. [ 6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but Through Isaac shall your offspring be named. 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring. 9 For this is what the promise said: About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son. 10 And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, 11 though they were not yet

born and had done nothing either good or bad in order that God s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls 12 she was told, The older will serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. ] R: The Word of the Lord. Announcements Continued Tyler s School Is Cool says THANKS!!! One more Sunday, and for those who weren t here last Sunday, we want to say thanks to each of you who contributed to the school supplies we collected for the start of school. You helped us collect a phenomenal amount of supplies. We all probably know teachers who are so saddened when some in their classroom are not able to attend the first day with all the supplies. Not only have you helped the children be in a better mindset to learn, but you bring joy to the teachers when they see the children in the class are able to bring the necessary supplies! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Save the Date and Please Continue to Donate!!! We are planning to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in a big way! Save the date of October 28th from 4:00 9:00 p.m. We can use your help through donation of items: We are still stockpiling beverages and are now asking for chips which are packaged in individual size or snack size bags. There is a donation of these on the table in the café area if you need to see them to know what is considered individual or snack size. If you would still like to donate to this event, please continue to bring cases of bottled water, canned Cokes, canned Sprite, and canned Dr. Pepper. Add chips to the list of donations needed and which can be brought as a donation now. Diet drinks will be collected in the near future. We delayed the diet drinks because of the shorter expiration date, but watch for the announcement that diet drinks are also being accepted soon. Help us make this a huge success! Watch for specific ways, besides the donations, that you can participate and help.
