THE CHURCH OF GOD NEW WORLD MINISTRIES WELCOME TO PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Zechariah 14:16
The Church of God New World Ministries Welcome to the Feast of Tabernacles 2014 The world now has a population of over seven billion people. Of that number, only a small few truly understand God s Master Plan of Salvation for Mankind. As we approach the fall season we see fall festivals, state and county fairs, and other activities celebrating the end of summer and the fall harvest season. But, unfortunately, very few understand the deep spiritual meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles and The Last Great Day. Mention these festivals to the average Christian or churchgoer and they would be oblivious to what you were saying. You are here because YOU DO UNDERSTAND! You understand that God commands the observance of this feast. It is not optional. It is not something we decide upon as to whether we will attend or not. We understand that the Feast of Tabernacles represents an integral part of God s Plan of Salvation for Mankind. What is that Plan? The festival season begins with Passover. Though, not one of the seven annual Sabbaths, it is nevertheless one of the most significant days God commands us to observe. The Passover symbolizes the passing over of our past sins our redemption back to God. The Days of Unleavened Bread follows the Passover because once our sins are forgiven we must now put sin out of our lives and put on Christ. Pentecost pictures the outpouring of God s Holy Spirit upon those who repent and are baptized. The Feast of Trumpets pictures Christ s triumphant return to this earth. Atonement pictures the final judgment of Satan the Devil. He will receive his just reward for all the wickedness he is responsible for. And, finally, we come to the Feast of Tabernacles The Great Fall Harvest. Following the 6,000 years allotted to man for his time on earth, comes the 7 th 1,000-year period. For 1,000 years Christ will reign and establish His Kingdom and Government on this earth. Those who have overcome and endured to the end shall live and reign with Christ during that 1,000 years. God commands his people to assemble year after year to KEEP THIS FEAST. He expects us to learn how to live in the New World to come. For seven glorious, wonderful, spiritually inspired days, God s people are to assemble at the place He chooses and rejoice before the Lord. It is our hope that this year s Feast will truly be the BEST EVER! And, following the Feast will be the Last Great Day. A time when we will once again be united with loved ones that never knew the TRUTH but will have their DAY OF SALVATION. What a glorious PLAN. Let us PRAISE OUR GREAT GOD, and truly RE- JOICE BEFORE HIM! God speed that day! Sincerely, 2
