This week during the Shipwrecked! VBS we focused on the ways that Jesus rescues us in our day to day lives! This amazing adventure is designed to deepen our faith by discovering that Jesus cares about us personally and rescues us during life s toughest storms. It has been a week full of fun, food, crafts, games, incredible music, and adventures in an island-getaway setting that all comes together to point us to Jesus! The goal of Shipwrecked VBS is to allow Jesus loving care for each person to come to life like never before touching lives, changing hearts, and drawing kids and adults closer to Jesus as they understand we all need his rescue. SMIHaiti.org: Our kids collected over $60 this year to support children who live on the island of Haiti. Because of your donations, we will be able to provide food, school uniforms, and education. Thank you for your support. You are also welcome to text Pastor Melodi at 701-331-9412 by noon Wednesday and we will lift up your prayer concerns with you.

Good luck to everyone participating in the Shelby and Auglaize County Fairs. Please let us know your results to include in the next newsletter. We want to say a special word of thanks to Joann Feldwisch, Tommy Risner, Susan Lengerich, Molly Zellers and Jeff Hertenstein for sharing their voices with special music during the outdoor service last week. Linell Hertenstein accompanied on the keyboard too. We want to acknowledge Harps and Strings, who accompanied our hymns and shared their gift of song throughout. We also want to acknowledge Keith Frische and Kyle Frische as well. They did a great job handling the sound for all the different participants.
