Join me in welcoming back our beloved R:.W:. Bill Burris to Lodge. Its brings me great joy to see the Secretary at his station. The Lodge has not been the same during your absence. We have sorely missed you Brother. But let us pay wages to R:.W:. Rusty Glendinning for stepping into the role of Secretary pro-temp. I can personally say that I would be lost without your guidance. I want to thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement in my first months as Worshipful Master. You are an asset and more so a blessing to the Lodge. Again, Thank You R:.W:. Rusty for your help. I want to thank Sarasota DeMolay Chapter for the wonderful presentation Feb 12. It was quite informative and has helped the brothers who did not have the pleasure of being a part of DeMolay understand this wonderful organization. We are very fortunate to have the Chapter based in our own Lodge. I look forward to supporting the Chapter in any manner possible. We will be initiating 4 new candidates this month with the Crafts approval. I remember the night I was initiated. It was very impressive to see so many bothers on the sidelines. Talk about feeling the power and comfort of brotherhood. It was an evening to be remembered. Do you remember yours? Lets us come together and be a part of the night these new brothers will never forget. I look forward to seeing you on the sidelines! Greetings from the West From the West My Brothers, March is upon us and we have our first balloting of candidates for the Entered Apprentice Degree! On March 12, our first stated meeting, we will ballot on Messer s Christopher Andio, Harrison C. Sherwin, Richard Lautenschlager and Harvey C. Buchanan; EA degree to be conferred on March 19 th at 7:30 p.m. Dinner and fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m., so it goes with out saying, but I will anyway, that should your cable tow permit, we would very much like to see you there to support our Degree Master, his officers and candidates. Also taking place on March 16th d is the annual Masonic Home Pilgrimage. This is an excellent opportunity to take a look at one of the top rated assisted living homes in the state of Florida, and the best thing about it It s Masonic, of course! As the MMRL representative for our lodge I would like to remind everyone of the golf tournament taking place on April 6 th. The 2 nd Annual CRI-MMRL Golf Tournament is not only a charity fund-raiser it is also another way for Masons to increase their visibility and awareness in the general population. By our promotion of this event we are also supporting the Publicity & Public Relations goals of the Grand Lodge, so I hope to see as many golfers, and non-golfers, there supporting our lodge as possible. Damian Ostermeyer Senior Warden Masonic Education We are taught that no contention should ever exist save that noble contention of who best can work and best can agree. While we continue to strive for this, it is inevitable that one brother will have some sort of issue or problem with another at this or at some future period. It is with this Masonic lesson in mind that we each need to remember to work towards taking the high road, showing humility and integrity, and work with our fellow brothers to smooth out any issues we might have with each other. By remembering our catechism, we can continue to position ourselves in the eyes of our brethren so that they may not carry a grudge against us. Items of Note There is no doubt in my mind that Masonry is the cornerstone of America. Dave Thomas Freemasonry embraces the highest moral laws and will bear the test of any system of ethics or philosophy ever promulgated for the up lift of man. Douglas MacArthur-General of the Army
