PNC NEWSLETTER Volume 2, Issue 7 July, 2012 Dear Pilgrim Nazarene Church family, In just a few short days we will be together at Camp in Dickson, TN. Our camp registrar, Sis. Carmelita Turner has informed me that all of the rooms are taken and the excitement is building. Let s pray that God will come and blend our hearts together! Let s pray that a revival will start at camp and spread throughout the churches and our home communities. Above all, we want God to be glorified and His name exalted! - SRS Missions Update A Report from Millersburg Mission As many of you know, I presented a need while on Missions Tour concerning a van for the Millersburg, KY PNC Mission. Sis. Judy Jolly is our pastor there and they have worked very hard after starting the work back up more than a year ago. I was in Millersburg on Father s Day of this year was there was twenty-six in attendance. They have made many improvements to the property, both at the church and parsonage. A few months ago, thieves striped the copper wiring from under the parsonage and that has been repaired. The Jollys live in Carlisle, KY and would be able to bring more people to church, but have been limited by not having a van. Well, because of your giving and Bro. Terry s shopping, we now have a church van in Millersburg, KY. We thank the Lord for His help on this project. Pilgrim s Progress Report Page 1
2012 Pilgrim Nazarene Church 5 th General Conference and Camp Meeting July 29 th August 5 th Garner Creek Retreat Center Dickson, Tennessee Evangelist: Rev. Youth Worker: Rev. Jon Tarter Children s Worker: Rev. Harrold Taylor (More Camp information on page 7.) News from the Churches Cape Girardeau, MO Troy Truitt, pastor Greetings from Trinity Grace Chapel! It has been a couple months since we reported and there are a lot of great things happening at TGC. We have been blessed with a church of motivated helpers and we are excited to see the results of the body of Christ working together. The month of May found us celebrating the graduation of our Pastor's daughter, Lauren Truitt. She is a great blessing to our church and will certainly be missed when she leaves to attend God's Bible School this fall. On Mother's Day, we were thrilled to have the mother of one of our Sunday School families attend for the first time. Her children told us that it was the first time that she had been in church since she was a child. We are truly believing God to work a miracle in this lady's life. We were delighted to have the Snodgrass family with us this month, as well. June rushed in with a frantic attempt to get prepared for Youth Camp. It's always an enormous task to be ready on opening day, but always worth it. Our hearts were saddened on the Sunday before our departure. The Nabors Family suffered a terrible blow with hospitalization of their mother. Susan had a severe stroke and is now in the midst of intense rehabilitation. She is only forty-six years old and has several children still living at home. Please continue to help us pray for her husband, Dale, and this dear family. We began another church improvement project this month. Due to the continued growth of our outreach program, we have outgrown our classrooms. With the combined efforts of many laborers, we now have two new classrooms and a huge storage closet in our basement! Bring on the kids!!!! The Daniel Melton Family was here for a great mission's service on the 24th. They are missionaries to Honduras and host the medical mission team that Dave Boardman is a part of every February. It was a joy to finally meet this Continued on page 4 Pilgrim s Progress Report Page 2

(Cape Girardeau, MO cont. from pg. 2) family. Our Pastor's family began the month of July with a much-needed vacation. In spite of power outages and treacherous thunderstorms, a good time was had by all. We are anticipating a wonderful time of fellowship and spiritual renewal at camp meeting this month. Hope to see you there! Jasper, AL David Fogleman, pastor Greetings from Jasper, Alabama!!! The weather in Alabama is hot in the summer. But this year it has been extremely hot with temperatures well above 100 degrees for a few days in a row. On Saturday June 30th we had a church cook out in celebration of Independence Day and in celebration of Weston Fogleman's first birthday (his birthday was actually the 29th). Sunday, July 1st we had the dedication of Weston Fogleman in the morning service. As many of you know, Weston's dad is our pastor. Weston's maternal grandparents and one set of his great grandparents are members of our church here in Jasper. Also, Weston's paternal grandmother, Sis. Shirley Fogleman was here for the service along with Weston's cousin Caleb Boardman. We are looking forward to General Conference near the end of the month and first of August. By the time this is read General Conference may have already started. are doing. On Father's Day Bro. Taylor brought a wonderful message, and then gave to each Father a token of our love and appreciation. We welcomed some new visitors during the month of June. And one lady has returned several times. It is a joy to serve the Lord--His blessings have been abundant. Amen!!!! Whitehouse, TX Dennis Cable, pastor The Lord has been helping us with our attendance. We reached 50 on June 10th! Then, on Fathers' Day we had thirteen FATHERS lined up across the front of our sanctuary. Thank God for our men. Our Sunday morning average for June was 38, a new record. Two of our young people were able to go to Youth Camp. Amy and Hart Hooker said it was "Awesome". Pastor Dennis Cable was recently asked to preach the funeral of Don McElroy. Don was the funeral director who helped remove John F. Kennedy from the limousine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas in 1963. Cynthia Palacios has recently started another Good News Club. In the first meeting three people were saved- two children and their mother! We are gearing up for Vacation Bible School (July 17-22) and General Camp and Conference. Hope to see you soon! Sherman, TX - David Taylor, pastor Greetings to all in the wonderful name of our LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. We are looking forward to General Conference and Camp with great anticipation, praying, asking God to come and bless in a mighty way. The packet of the 30 day Prayer Guide is a blessing. It is so good to study the scriptures and read the comments of Bro. Snodgrass. I feel sure that I speak for all of our church that we appreciate the works that our General Leaders Pilgrim s Progress Report Page 4
