In the start of a brand new year it is important to work on being healthy from the inside out. Many people make their goals at the start of a brand New Year to work-out, and to eat healthy, and that goal is normally short lived by most people. Let us focus on addressing the needs of the total man; mind, body, soul and spirit. I had a conversation with a young lady and she made a comment that she needed a church detox to get rid of some waste that she has ingested through the years. Waste such as tainted teaching, adulterated messages, and man-made traditions that come to bind instead of setting the people free. I pondered her words, and begin to think about how we need a spiritual detox to cleanse all impurities. Many of us are walking around weighted down with natural and spiritual toxins that have stunted our growth. Why is detoxification important? When our bodies become toxic, it means that our natural means of ushering out metabolic waste from normal human metabolism, environmental pollution, and what has become known as the Standard American Diet (or SAD diet), has exceeded the threshold for what the body s innate detoxification system can tolerate on its own. With this toxic load, every system in the human body can become infected. From our head, to our toes and everything in between, toxicity makes us sick! We ve all heard about the importance of detoxing. The many benefits Con t on page 4

J C M M I N I S T R Y O F H. E. L. P. Page 3 8TH ANNUAL GLOBAL HEALING CONFERENCE The vision that Evangelist Carelock had for this conference was unlike any other of the previous years. Her whole mindset was to make sure the conference participants left with a new perspective on what it meant to be healed. It s always good to shout and give God the praise that He deserves, and it s good to offer various workshops for marriage, for singles, for altar workers, and healthy boundaries, but this past year, it was very important for the participants to leave with the tools needed to be holistically healthy, mind, body and soul. Those three includes being healthy spiritually and emotionally. We take for granted that as long as we are saved that we are living a healthy life, however, that is not true. Some of the most anointed people can be just as hateful and mean as the unrepented, because they are holding on to things that they can t or won t let go of. Taking the time to learn who you are, loving your self for who you are, and creating boundaries in your life, so no one can infiltrate those boundaries, will keep you on the path of becoming and staying holistically healthy. Evangelist Carelock alongside Minister Tracy Daniels, Pastor Randy Dean, and First Lady Darlene Welch facilitated workshops to the leaders in the church on the importance of putting yourself first, and taking care of you, so you can be more equipped to help others. Most of us tend to take care of the needs of others while neglecting our own needs. That may seem selfless and honorable, but think of it like this, in case of sudden loss of cabin pressure in an airplane, they tell you to first put on your mask before you help anyone else. What do you think will happen if you are so busy trying to save your neighbor s life, while you suffocate from lack of oxygen? They will go on to live, and speak kind and moving words of gratitude and appreciation at your funeral. Our leaders must set the example and the standard and show us how to take care of ourselves. It must start from the top. Minister Daniels taught us the importance of having a healthy relationship. A relationship isn t just marriage, it s a bond between two people; it can be between mother and daughter, father and son, siblings, and friends. You can be close and still have an unhealthy relationship because you do not know how to
V O L U M E 7, I S S U E 1 Page 4 8TH ANNUAL GLOBAL HEALING CONFERENCE include increased energy, improved digestion, and the release of accumulated toxins and weight. Complete health comes not only from a healthy body, but also a healthy and resilient mind. You can try to use natural remedies to become healthy, but if you don t address the thoughts and beliefs that may be holding you back from true health, you may be shortchanging yourself from experiencing complete health of body, mind and spirit. I believe detoxing the mind of negativity and toxic beliefs can help you to re-focus on your goals, gain clarity of purpose, and bring awareness to what may be holding you back from achieving true health and happiness. Why is detoxing our mind of toxic thoughts and negativity so important? Because our thoughts become things, releasing negativity and transforming limiting beliefs which can help you to create a reality that you love and deserve. There are a variety of cleansing and detoxification protocols and products used today for these physical cleansings of the body. Your spirit needs spiritual cleansing on a regular basis to keep your spiritual life healthy. Spiritual Detoxification Is Continual and Ongoing If one is truly a born again spiritually and has the Holy Spirit living within them, then the spiritual cleansing and detoxification process is one of submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and allowing him to work in and through our lives, rather than giving in to the passions and lusts of our flesh. We still have a sinful nature, so spiritual cleansing and detoxification is a continual and ongoing process. Those who concentrate only on the physical body are missing an even greater opportunity to achieve real health, which first comes through the spirit, NOT the body. Your spirit will live forever, while your current body is decaying and growing old, and is only temporary. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:16-26) After reading the importance of detoxification, how many of us are committed to seeking real change in 2018? In my closing, I leave you with this big question about health to ask yourself. How is the health of your mind and spirit? Are you healthy from the inside out? Our prayer for you is to have a Prosperous Happy New Year! Evangelist Joyce L. Carelock

Page 7 8TH ANNUAL GLOBAL HEALING CONFERENCE communicate with each other properly, or the relationship can be one-sided with one person dictating the dynamics of how the relationship works. Having a healthy relationship, is when two people develop a connection based on mutual respect, trust, and honesty. During Friday night s service we had a wailing session, where with one voice we wailed and cried out to God. We earnestly sought Him for deliverance from every negative emotion that holds us back from moving forward, from every lie that has held us hostage, and from every generational curse that has plagued our families. Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider and call for the mourning women, that they may come; And send for the wailing women, that they may come! "Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes may shed tears And our eyelids flow with water. Jeremiah 9:17-18 Every year our Pantomime class has blessed us with a routine that the class has learned literally within a few hours time frame, and this year was no different. The Pantomime coach duo, Arthur and Darlene McCoy also held an impromptu lesson during the service showing the participants the moves to a song and having them dance to it. It was amazing to see how everyone moved to the song, expressing their love for God with each choregraphed movement. On Saturday night, Pastor Dominic Watkins brought the Word entitled, The Power of Two, stressing the importance of unity. His scriptures came out of Acts 16, with Paul and Silas singing praises unto God while in prison.
V O L U M E 7, I S S U E 1 Page 8 8TH ANNUAL GLOBAL HEALING CONFERENCE During the Conference we made space for past participants to testify of the blessings and miracles God has bestowed upon them since they have started attending the Global Healing Conferences. God has healed various ailments and diseases, blessed some with promotions, houses, and provided jobs for those who were not qualified to be in them, but excelled in them anyways! One participant from Atlanta thanked JCM for the love and kindness that was shown to her and her family. She obeyed God and came to the conference with just the gas in her tank; and her family was blessed for every need to be met. One participate from L.A. testified that Pastor Watkins prophesied to her, and everything he spoke to her has come to pass. Another participant from Florida who had cancer testified that she was given no hope to be cured. The conference has given her hope, and she professed hat she is now cancer free! Highlights With the number eight symbolizing a new beginning, we believe that this a turning point for Joyce Carelock Ministries. In fact, we are already seeing some changes, beginning with the move to Florida. JCM is on the move, to bigger and better things!!

Demetria is no stranger to JCM, she has been a facilitator at our annual Global Healing Conferences for the past 3 years. She just made the move to Oldsmar, Florida, believing that God has something great in store for her there, and once again He has proven Himself mighty in her favor; ordering her steps exactly where He wants her to go. We also want to welcome her son, Andrew to the JCM family!

CENTER Back in July s newsletter I reported how JCM opened an office in sunny Seminole, Florida, in addition to our office in Manassas, Virginia. Now, I give you a bittersweet update. Effective November 30th, we have closed our Virginia office. We are still rendering our services in the Fairfax County area. In fact, in addition to our resume workshops and employment mentoring program, we are now offering our Administrative Certification program online. With this online program you can learn our curriculum at your own pace, within the five weeks required time period. The closure is bittersweet because JCM first opened it s office in Virginia, so to close the office of our beginning causes us to reflect on the past five years, and our growth. However, looking back we see where we came from, where we are at now, and where we are going! God has opened so many doors since we made the move to Florida, and the best is yet to come!

From the Editor s Desk For some of us, 2017 went by in a blink of an eye. The good, the real good, the bad and the ugly, we had it all in 2017, and for some of us, 2017 looked the same as 2016, 2015, and 2014. No change. One thing I have learned while sitting in on the workshops at the Conference is that, it is so easy to tell someone how to live a healthy life. What to do, or what not to do. However, it is hard to swallow that same big pill that don t want to go down. We can help someone all day, giving advice, and remarkably none of it applies to us individually. Of course, giving advice is so much easier said than done, but at some point we have to start listening. There are warning signs that our bodies show us before it shuts down. Let us not go into 2018 with the same mindset of defeat, neglect, and even self abuse. We abuse ourselves every time we allow other people to enter into our lives and take complete control over them while taking advantage of you. You are so busy taking care of them that you have no room, energy, or time for yourself, your physical health, your mental stability, and your emotional well-being. As we start 2018, let us educate ourselves on how to set emotional boundaries, how to let go of dead weight, and how to move forward with, and in God. I challenge you to not set any resolutions this new year. Set attainable goals, trust God, and believe in yourself! Enjoy this coming NEW YEAR!
