I won t try and describe it to you right now, but if you ask, I ll be glad to show it to you at any time. From this position one could find stability, build a solid defense and go on offense. To be even a good wrestler one had to learn, embrace, and operate from this stance. It had to become second nature; just part of the DNA of the wrestler. That is true for us as we find the life of Christ be expressed in and through us in every facet of our lives. We have to learn, embrace and operate from the foundations of our faith. I wonder if the reason we find ourselves experiencing failure more than victory, futility more than fruitfulness, and fragility more than strength is because we operate as if the foundations are more suggestions than they are necessities. I hunger for the life of Christ to be fully embodied in me/us and the Kingdom of God to fully extend out from me/us into every corner of our world. For that to happen we have to operate from a solid foundation or the house of cards we have built will come tumbling down. Let s kick 2019 off right and look at building a solid foundation so that God can empower us to kick this year off right and make it the most amazing year yet. Join me this month during our 11:00 AM worship hour as we focus on Foundational Living See You and Your Friends There!! Jeff continued on Page 2...

The holiday break is over and the children have returned to school. In January the children will continue working on the alphabet, numbers, counting, rhyming and discussions about the winter. The Christmas Programs were great; the children were outstanding! Special thanks to Pastor Jeff for the opening prayer. Our families were asked to bring food for the needy to the Christmas programs and they did! Lots of food items were generously donated to fill the food boxes delivered from our church. Many thanks to Donald and Brenda Hylton for bringing Mr. & Mrs. Claus with them to the 4 s Christmas party!!! The 3 s also had a great party! Thanks to all parents! The Nursing Home visit was wonderful. Residents and children enjoyed each other.
