Statistics from April 1st thru August 31st The Social Concerns office helped on an average of 53 people in 20 households each month. A grand total of 3,825 pounds of food and personal care items were distributed. We received 1,800 pounds of food from our generous parishioners. About 2,000 pounds of food was purchased with donated cash, scrip, and proceeds from our Fair Booth. General Announcements Check it Out!!! This would not have been possible without the Sparrow s Nest. ADORATION General Announcements Eucharistic Adoration is the greatest of actions and there is nothing greater or holier we can do on earth than this adoration. To adore is to share the life of Mary on earth when she adored the Word Incarnate in her virginal womb, when she adored Him in the Crib, on Calvary, in the divine Eucharist. As we celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows, let us join together in Adoration with Our Blessed Mother. If you have never been to Adoration, call Ruthann @ 756-8551, or if you have any questions. General Announcements VIRTUS TRAINING The next St. Matthew s Virtus (Safe environment) class will be held on Monday, September 25th from 6-9 pm in the Doran Center. This class is for staff and volunteers who will be working with youth or vulnerable adults. Those who take the Eucharist to the homebound should be taking this class. The pilgrimage will include: *A chartered bus ride to and from Butte *Appetizers/beverages provided on the bus *Bring a sack lunch for Friday *Hotel Accommodation, including breakfast *Tickets to the Conference *Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Rockies *Lunch on Saturday is provided The bus will leave on Friday and return Saturday evening.
