15. Hesston College will host its annual Thanksgiving Weekend Nov. 24 to 26. Join in on events and activities for the whole family including a Thanksgiving evening Masterworks concert, A Downton Abbey Christmas, followed by the annual talent show. Join us for an open game night Tonight, Sunday Nov.13 from 6:00-9:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall! Bring your favorite games and snacks to share. We will take a collection and order pizza. 3. Christian Homemakers will have a Nativity showcase Sat., Nov. 19, 9AM-1 PM during the Christmas open house. This showcase is open to the town. We will have refreshments and sell peppernuts. Anyone in the church that would like to share and set up their Nativity set is welcome to do so. Have the sets in the fellowship hall by Nov. 18. Questions contact Bonnie Kaufman. 4. On November 20, we will celebrate a combined Mission Sunday at Eden with guest speaker James Krabill of Mennonite Mission Network. Worship begins at 9:30 AM, followed by a Q&A discussion time with James at 10:30. The FEWZ youth group will serve a fundraiser fellowship meal following the discussion time. 5. Yearbook change: Kirk and Carla Stucky's new address is 413 Park Lane, Moundridge. Their mailing address is still PO Box 728. Their phone number 620-345-6471 no longer works, use the cell numbers listed in the yearbook. Also, Taylor's address is now 115 Shelby Ct. 6. Hanging of the Greens is Nov. 20 at 6:30PM. Everyone is invited to help decorate the church, or set back and enjoy the decorations as they are put up. A Tasting Bee will follow in the fellowship hall and we invite everyone to bring their favorite finger food to share with the church. General Announcements 7. There will be brief appearances by some local groups, including the McPherson Community Brass Choir, Church of the Brethren Handbell Ensemble, Elyria Christian High School Choir, Men in Harmony Barbershop Chorus, and several children's musical groups. Hesston College has several students from other countries who need a place to stay when the dorms are closed for Christmas break. This is a fun way to get to know international student(s) who are part of the Hesston College family and share your holiday traditions with them. Host families are needed from December 16 through January 10. Even if your family is only available part of the time, you may still be able to help.
