Volunteer Opportunity The Jonnycake Center of Westerly is in need of volunteers to help our staff maintain the Thrift Store in a professional and attractive manner. Volunteer opportunities include sorting donations and maintaining inventory on shelves and display cases, as well as sorting clothes and linens and hanging them on the appropriate racks. The Center provides food for 10,000 local residents each year, as well as providing emergency financial assistance. If you or someone you know would like to consider becoming a volunteer, please contact Steve Symonds, Volunteer Coordinator, at 377-8069, ext. 3. The volunteer office is open on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, on Wednesdays 9 AM to 12 noon, and on Thursdays 9 AM to 3 PM. Volunteers may work any time Mondays through Saturdays between the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM.

St. Clare Stewardship Ministry Corner The next Stewardship Meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 22, at 6:30 PM in the lower rectory. Stewardship meetings are held on a bi-monthly basis and all are welcome. The Prayer Ministry is dedicated to those who request our prayers. To join this ministry or to send a prayer intention, please write in the Book of Intentions near the Baptistry or e-mail mbrockmann@cox.net. The Respect Life Ministry helps the parish live the Gospel of Life by promoting and protecting the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. Before Mass on the First Friday of every month, the Rosary is offered before the Blessed Sacrament for an end to abortion. Please join us. The Hospitality Ministry provides a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for members of the St. Clare community and visitors, as well as new parishioners, to meet and interact with one another in a positive way. This ministry provides opportunities to promote parish fellowship and, when necessary, to assist the Pastor with special events. Meetings take place the first Thursday of every month at 8:30 AM in the Parish Center. All are welcome. The Helping Hands Ministry reaches out to those who are needy, elderly, sick or in need of bereavement consolation. This ministry meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 4 PM in the Parish Center. Enter through the door in the rear parking area. Please feel free to come to these meetings; new faces are always welcome. The next meeting is on Tuesday, December 6, at 4 PM. St. Clare Church 2011 Collectible This beautiful ornament collectible which highlights St. Clare Church in Westerly is made right here in Rhode Island by the ChemArt Company of Lincoln. The ornament will make a great gift for family members who have attended St. Clare and have moved away, or those who were married, baptized, or who currently attend St. Clare. Hang a little piece of Misquamicut s history on your tree this year. Proceeds will benefit the Parish Center Building Fund.
